My fiance teaches English. She rings me up last week and says 'I've had an idea, lets move to South Korea!' Ok, I think. I know nothing about South Korea other than the fact that 95% of the country has high speed internet access and that its produced some of the best films i've ever seen and some of the worst food i've ever eaten. Essentially, I am completely ignorant about this country and know nothing. So, what i'd like to ask is are there any Koreans / expats / tourists who can educate me a little? How much money a month would I need to live modestly? Is the internet restricted by the Government? Is there a drinking culture? Can i blow my nose in public? How is its economy being effected by the global recession? Will the Dear Leader launch a nuclear attack and turn it to dust? These are some of the questions i have. If anyone could share their experience of South Korea I'd really appreciate it. From what I've seen it looks like it could be a great place to live for a while but its hard to get an accurate idea of a country without peoples first hand experiences. Cheeerrrs !
