My hard drive has failed and I just restore my backups.

Macrium Reflect is a great program to image your entire hard drive. As well I backup stuff to AWS and keep a bunch of stuff in dropbox, but backup the really important dropbox stuff to AWS as well.

Hind sight is always 20/20 but I just thought I would encourage you to get a good backup plan. I have a good backup plan because once upon a day I had a loss and it wasn't backed up and I had to redo 3 months work and that was when I got a backup plan and its been great ever since. Even my websites are all backed up daily. Everything backed up every single day so I lose no more then 1 day worth of data tops.
