What methods are they using, and how can I do it too?
There are a ton of different things you can do with social media accounts, its up to you to do your research and think of smart ways to use them.
Mostly promote CPA offers, but it cannot all be narrowed down to Twitter. You have Facebook, IG, Pinterest... those really have a lot of traffic potential. Read more and you'll find out more on how to monetize such accounts!
The big amount of accounts comes from the limitation of what you can do per day per account.
Let's say you can follow and unfollow 100 people per day, per account without getting banned. If you do more, you will get banned (numbers are just for example)
If you on the other hand have 10 accounts, you can follow and unfollow 1000 people per day and so on. That's what you need a lot of accounts for
if you are not playing the follower game, i guess its not necessary to have many accounts.
however, you should use multiple accounts if you want them to be niche specific, especially twitter search often show accounts before tweets.
i doubt that many people need many accounts to accommodate tweet limit. you can tweet all you want, but in the end it's all a waste if your tweets are not seen.
