Something weird in my reach on facebook

Hello everyone,
I'm new here, but I've been reading your threads since some time now.

I have a page that has 383,000 Likes, it's reach was more than 600,000/week two weeks ago, but since the page got the new facebook design, it's reach is down to 150,000/week,,, anyone knows why the new design did this ?

the weird thing is that when I add a photo, it gets 200 - 300 likes ( two weeks ago it would get 1000 - 1500 likes ).. and this photos reach is 4000 people.. BUT if I share a post from another page, it's reach is suddenly over 50,000 and with over 1500 likes every time...

I'm like, I have no idea, I know that facebook doesn't do that, shared posts from others pages on my page gets 10x more reach than my normal posts Every time..

FB now is so crazy! You are not alone! Soon I will pay for the reach...That`s terrible...
 
As u Guys are unaware of something , Facebook is asking for money so that your Post reaches to all the people who have liked your page , as u Guys know if someone just likes your page he/she will only get the most liked or most commented on the News Feed/Home , You should ask all of your Audience to Like your page then to select get all the notifications , then they will get to see all of your Posts or you can Pay to Facebook , but it is ridiculous that i have to pay to make people smile as Facebook doesn't allow monetization , what do Facebook Page owner get?
 
I think it's a little ridiculous that first, you have to pay FB to get fans to your page, and secondly, pay to get your posts to those fans. Am I the only one seeing the oddity in here? the greed of FB is becoming overwhelming.

Yep, that's the biggest irony.
I own a 433k page and reach per post is 1-3k max.
 
What is mean is, the weird thing is about shares, shared posts on my page get 10 times more reach than normal, and I don't think facebook wants that, since it could be really good for sales..
 
New algorithms to counter the vast reach of publishers on their website.

These tactics will be the fall of Facebook. They should control their shopping spree (aka purchasing random apps/companies) and save up for a rainy day.
 
Well this is happening with like everybody, and everyone is right now really fed up about this, no one is getting good reach these days. Let me show you my stats.

This is 1.2M page and i am getting this reach :) .

Outrageously greedy. I don't think there's a better way to express what I think of it right now.
 
You can't expect Facebook to see some random guys steal their revenue of their own website. It was coming, you had your free lunch, now spend something to get something.

Although few of the guys were reporting their reach was going back to normal once they started following FB page guidelines.
 
What do you mean free lunch? they made billions off of all of us and they always far exceed their own revenue predictions... it's greed, that's what it is.

It is solely their choice, whether you call it greed or something else.

Just tell me one thing, a person who has liked 10 pages, and as 10 friends, is part of 10 groups. Then what do you expect FB to show to the user, when a page posts nearly 10 posts per day. That is equal to 100. So, that sums it up, FB's wall feauture is not made to handle so many posts in news feed. So, they are eliminating junk and bringing quality material up.

FB was made for socializing. And I bet that is what they are making the platform become.

Also, few guys have reported their has been no decrease in engagement, in fact it has increased.

No use fighting though. If they don't want more pages, then you gotta look for alternatives. We guys got no right to challenge their decisions, just like we can't challenge cutts and google.

Where can I find Facebook pages guidelines ? Do you mean terms or another section ?

My reach went a up last week til yesterday now people barely see my posts in their newsfeed and what you say sounds very logic. But then again why update everything and invest money when the end is near ?
