How to Make Money with Micro-stock Photography

I remember watching a video about how to purchase these images for header images on autoblogs, but never occurred that there was a way to make residual income by upload your images onto these sites.

The following article was written on my favorite residual income source, AC. He is a self professed non-photography expert with a nice camera. I have a nice camera. If 10 mexapix is nice?

I'll start shooting and let yall know how I do!

    Get to snappin!

PS - The writer of the article is not me. I am not white. lol

edit: just read the article and saw his portfolio, looks like it does take some skill even if he says he doesn't have any

That is definitely thinking out of the box. Be hard to ramp it up though, but might be fun trying.

One part of his article doesn't make sense, more megapixels doesn't equal a better image, I think what he means is a larger sensor.
The canon 550D and canon 5Dmkii both shoot 18 megapixel images but since the 5Dmkii has a larger sensor the image quality is far superior.
Looks interesting and definately something I'd like to try.
Also feel free to ask me any photography related questions in case any of you guys wanted to give it a shot :)

i have two digital cameras and some good ideas of what to shoot, im actually going for walks/bikes around my neighborhood (suburban gated community type) to snap some shots of nice houses, cars, nature, pavement, whatever comes to mind

my question of the year is, is my digital camera nice enough? my better camera is a canon powershot sd750 digital elph 7.1 mgpix.

i was reading more about this and there are a couple more sites that accept photos, but they all seem selective. that wolfe guy said only 60% of his photos were approved.

what kind of cameras do yall have?

My friend who is a photographer is doing about $2500/mo from istockphoto alone. There is definitely a lot of money to be made if you are good. Although its pretty hard getting photos approved, and they only take the most unique ones.

I took some pictures in my neighborhood today with another camera I found that is 8.1 megapix. I also found pictures from a trip to France on there so I sorta lucked out.

While you don't have to be a photo-god to do this, there are some rules to follow. Vector art seems to be very lucrative, but I've never even used Photoshop before. Also, the flowers picture market seems to be flooded. And no pictures of my cats WTF lol. There are lots of other little rules which all basically say: Don't take crappy pictures and expect them to be accepted!

I applied to two sites (they made me upload an image of my drivers ID lol) and I'm in the approval process which takes up to 3 days. To be approved 3/10 or 1/3 of your photos must be accepted. I wish school was this easy, lol.

I'll let you know how I do, maybe I failed lol
