Hey guys, any ideas why YouTube isn´t suggesting my videos anymore ? I have 60k subs channel, all views natural. I learned everything from this forum so my tags, descriptions and video names are great, also I get a lot of views and likes from my Facebook page... Something fishy is going on here..

Youtube suggested videos is still, by far, the largest percentage of our video traffic. No decrease in recent days either.

I would wait a few more days, see if the line on your graph goes back up, might be temporary.

They keep suggesting your videos because the " suggested views " haven´t gone to zero. Maybe one of your top video has been replaced by a younger one on the " suggested positions" . This happens all the time, if they didn´t do it this way, always the same videos will be the viral ones.

    Check this insights

this video has over 50 million views. See how the suggested views have decreased over the time while new viral videos were turning up.

Kicking ass and taking names I see.. Nice work with those views.

OP, the few days of the low suggested views on that chart is hardly conclusive. In the past you have had similar blips in the chart. I would guess it pops back up at least a bit more soon. I have very similar looking graphs on my channel, however after just taking a closer look, my suggested video views have gone through the roof over the past few days.

Honestly, It´s the only video I have which received that amount of traffic for that long period of time ( 4 years) from "suggested videos". I have others which died at the mark of 25, 15 or 8 millions views. Indeed one video "dies" when it´s replaced from the suggested column. That´s why YT is full of dead viral videos with millions of views. Then what you get are some residual views for YT search and little more.

Having said that , the +50 million views video has minimum 100 real shares everyday. I believe the suggested videos algo is designed in a way that if the video is shared a lot, it will stay there as long as users keep sharing it. Faking or botting the shares in that volume during a long time is complicated. Creating 1000s of social accounts to produce the shares costs money and resources.

Op , you can do a case study. Just buy some shares ( they are quite cheap at seoclerk) and see if in a few days the suggested views go up.

It seems like a lot of people are confused on how suggested videos work.

Basically, YouTube will suggest newest popular videos but at the same time it will weigh the watch time of users that clicked the video. That's what the stats is all about on the analytics, you can see how long is the watch time of the users that watched your videos from the suggested column. And if you have more watch time compared to the other related videos, YouTube will show your videos more.

YouTube is not all about ranking on search. If your videos stopped showing on the suggested column that means there are new and/or more WORTH watching than your videos.

Let's put it this way, if I had a bad experience about a certain restaurant do you think I will suggest it to my friends?

Here's an example (I included the word "video" on this screenshot to prove that this stats came from a single video, not a channel):

I did not bought views, shares, likes or anything BH related on this one.
