    Here's the link:

    https://flippa.com/2803072-pr-10-fashion-website-good-looking-huge-monthly-potential-income-great-bonuses

    Something doesn't seem right of course because it is advertised as Pr10. I hope that the seller benefits from this thread if the pr is legit or gets cracked down by comments on flippa if it is fake. Let's avoid someone getting scammed (( IF )) it is fake.

    Thks, experts.

    Wonder why some people are so dumb... At the very least they could've fake a PR9 or PR8 LOL. Makes it a lot more credible.

    There's no way in hell that PR is real. If it were he probably would've set his BIN price a tad higher than $200. :D

    That being said, it won't take long before it comes out how to game your way to that kind of PR.

    Here's how you Spoof a Google Page Rank:
    1. Buy a domain.
    2. 301 Redirect the domain either in you .htaccess, PHP header (anything server side) to a page with the desired page rank. It's better to redirect to something relevant. For example, if you are doing a mortgage site, redirect to a mortgage site.
    for php the code is:
    <?php
    header("HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently");
    header("location:http://www.yoursite.com");
    exit;
    ?>

    3. Link to the page with the redirect from another of your sites that gets regularly spidered by Google.

    4. Wait for google update. Google Updates happen about every three months.

    5. Now you use cloaking that says:

    <?php
    if(ip is in list) (list of google IPs){
    header("HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently");
    header("location:http://www.yoursite.com");
    exit;}
    else
    {
    header('Content-Type: text/html; charset=ISO-8859-1′);
    //Show your site
    };
    ?>

    The main drawback is that your site will not actually be indexed by Google as long as you are redirecting the Googlebots to your competitors site, so it's really only good for link selling / trading.
    BTW, don't claim to have a certain PR when you are selling - that's fraud.
    This further illustrates how useless Page Rank has become in measuring a sites importance.
    Buyer Beware.

    OK, but how can one now tell if a PR is fake?

    I always thought that if you do a site: or a info: that google will show up the real domain. In this case it is showing the fake domain so it looks real...

    It is all very well to spot a fake PR 10 since it is pretty obvious, but what about a fake PR 4 or PR 5? That would be much more difficult to identify. I suppose the one way would be to check the other pages on the site. If they don't have PR then it is a pretty good bet that the PR of the home page is not real but it is not really a very scientific....
    Any other suggestions?

    Scrapebox says it's real :O

    virginia11.info PR 10 Real Domain virgina11.info Result: Real

    Scrapebox should normally be able to suss out the 301 trick.. Anyway, I'm guessing that since the site is so young, Google has *always* seen it as a redirected site and he has only changed it for the sale on Flippa after getting pages indexed. Therefore, there is no history of it's true PR, which is likely NR.
