    I dont mind getting neg rep for doing something worthy of that, but in the last few days ive gotten 2 neg reps that seem to be rather retarded.

    Heres the reasons for the reps:
    Heres the threads:

    Code:
    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/making-money/54725-push-button-extreme-pbx-no-recruiting-no-selling-no-signups-make-some-easy-money.html#post525527

    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/making-money/45644-buyrefs-cpa.html#post533765
    The reason for the neg rep for buyrefs and cpa was because i said I would pay buyrefs to give me guaranteed sign ups, i was going to try it but have been spending more time with my girlfriend, money making methods, and networking. I dont believe that is worthy of a negative rep, its not like i scammed anyone.

    The second one, about puiss button xtreme. Sorry for telling you the truth /sarcasm. I was one of the many people that said you shouldnt join because it is shit for making money. I probably should have said 'newbies only shouldnt join' because people who have a big newbie mlm list, or know how to get targetted mlm suckers could make money, problem is, if u had a list like that, you could just make ure own mlm and make more money. . What i meant to say in the post is that MLM is really misleading profit is mainly made by newbies losing money in the system, i used to do it so i do know what im talking about.

    Im starting to wonder if it is someone simply trolling my posts.

    I wasnt really worrying about myself because my rep doesnt matter too much, although if it got horrendously low, even neg people would get a false impression of me. It could be a worry for other people, but when i think about it, if someone does good business here like bodeezy im sure there will always be more people giving + rep than neg rep. And secretboy yeah your right. I dont think there is a way to fix this as it's in the internets nature to allow trolling. Internet is meant to be freedom. Noticed my rep went to 11 lol. Thanks, but i'd rather get rep for posting some sexy method or whatever. But yeah, thanks for the notion behind the reps.

    Maybe there should be a warning/confirmation when sending reputiation.
    Like a short text that explains when to send rep and when not and that you get banned if you abuse that system.

    I think a good number of the people here is just too stupid to understand what reputation is and even if they read it once they might not have the power to rememeber it the minute later again.

    There used to be a rule about rep in the forum rules, but it was removed a while back when we did away with the rep system altogether. I guess I should stencil those rules back in.

    *Added to the to-do list

    As far as an extra confirmation page/dialog box, I'm not sure if it's possible. I'm sure we'd have to hack the code ourselves, or find a 3rd party plugin.

    Maybe something like that in case you plan to add a confirmation:
    (untested :)
    Code:
    <script type='text/javascript'>
    function showconfirm(link,question)
    {
        var res = confirm(question);

        if(res)
        {
            window.location = link;
        } else
        {
    	// nothing if user cancels
        }
    }
    </script>

    Current link:
    <a id="reputation_547118" rel="nofollow" href="http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/reputation.php?p=547118">

    New Link with confirmation:
    <a id="reputation_547118" rel="nofollow" href='#' onClick="javascript:showconfirm("http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/reputation.php?p=547118", "You sure you want to give reputation?");">

    Personally I think all that stuff doesn't mean a thing. I judge people based on their previous posts and contributions, or, if I'm not familiar with someone's posting history, then they have no rep, good or bad. But all those numbers, stars, different color user names, etc.. don't mean a thing to me. Look at how many Jr. and Exec. VIPs have been banned lately.

    How many exec vips have been banned? I know only one ban.

    You'll do good to value high post count of people as those are often respected members here.
    Also itrader,reputation and the other stars and stripes give a good value if you can trust someone and how much you can trust him when doing business.

    uptownbulker, johnnypro, nevarc, although nevarc is unbanned now. But yeah he has a point, that's why i wasnt too worried about rep, because it's how you treat people and the contributions you make that matters the most.
