Hey guys, I wanted to try something different to the usual "Journey to $xxx/day" threads. This will be a journey to finally move out of my parents house and become independent!

Just to preface the rest of my post, I do not go to school/college or have a job (rent/food is paid for by parents but I do help out when I can) meaning I technically have 24hrs/day, 7days/week to work at this, except when looking after my niece every so often.

First, let's start with a little background of my experiences in IM. I've known about Internet Marketing for roughly 2 years now, I became aware of this forum in late 2011/early 2012 and signed up in November of that year. Throughout that time I've been pretty passive and didn't really take action in any of the methods I read on here. It wasn't until my inheritance money began to approach zero that I finally realized I needed to do something. I've since made that money back and then some so now I have a new goal -- to move out!

Before moving into my new place I want to make sure I have a decent amount of cash saved up in-case of a rainy day (or in this case months). In other words, we all know how chaotic and ever-changing this business can be. One week you can be making $1k/day then the next thing you know you're making pennies. With that being the case, I want to have around 10 months worth of expenses covered before I take the plunge.

    Methods:

On to the methods I'll be using. Right now I'm looking at the following methods:

    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...0-make-4000-month-working-1-hour-per-day.html

    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackh...hod-making-500-day-through-amazon-newbie.html

    http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/facebook/609833-how-i-made-8-000-facebook-groups.html

And maybe some adult media-buying. I don't want to do to focus on too many methods at the same time, so these should be enough for now. There is another method that's rattling around in my head right now which I've made some money from in the past but won't work now since Youtube updated their comments system. If someone out there knows of anyway to get legit views to a YT video or if anyone has tried any of these and has advice I'm all ears!

Currently I have the following products to aid me on my task:

    - Hootsuite
    - Longtail Pro Platinum
    - CPA Networks (Maxbounty, Peerfly, Monetise, CPALead, Adscendmedia)
    - Proxies
    - Hosting

Looking at buying GSA Search Engine Ranker, so if anyone can vouch for that, it would be cool!

I'll try and update this thread daily but in all likelihood that won't happen. There is one thing I can promise though. This thread ends when I'm in my new place and post pictures for you all to see!

Good luck, seems you have plenty of experience already, and the only thing that will make this journey thread any different from the others is if you actually keep it updated. If not, there is a sleeping bag in a wood somewhere near proxygo's house that you can sleep in.

Honestly? I still consider myself -- just as my title says -- a newbie. It wasn't until recently that I've made any real money online. Mainly because I'm so damn lazy though. When most people make money with a method, they think of all the ways they can scale it up to make even more. I just stay content with what I'm doing and just spend the rest of my time browsing random things on the internet that have nothing to do with IM whatsoever. I'm trying to make a conscious effort to change that though.

Laziness is probably going to be your #1 problem. GSA is a powerful tool and I vouch for it 1000% but if you don't have a strong work ethic, it won't matter how many tools you have.

Lets be real too. If you really want to move out of your parents house, then you have to learn how to "man up" and get your hands dirty.

I remember a study the NY Times did a long time ago. Where they surveyed people who were dying in the hospital to ask them the top 5 things they would change about their life. And "working less" was one of those top 5 things. So I believe most people in general, if they had the option not to work, they wouldn't.
At the same time you need to respect the value of ambition. Ambition can take you to places in life that nothing else can. So if you're lacking ambition, you're going to have a very difficult time reaching your goals.

I wish you the best of luck either way.

    Weekly update:

Where do I even start? Okay let's split the post into each method and what I've done toward them.

    $500/Day Amazon method:

I'll start with this one because I haven't done much with regards to this method. I came up with a niche using Longtail pro and then bought a domain for it. That's about it.

    $4000/Month Classified ad method:

Okay so I scoured some classified websites looking for a city with lots of listings to make sure I got a lot of traffic when I eventually started to post on said websites. I chose my domain name, bought it, added hosting and bought a theme for the website. I made sure to take my time building the website because I wanted it to look as professional as possible. Building that site had to be one of the most tedious things I've ever done in IM. Couldn't find a way to automate it so I had to manually post 40 properties on the site. Anyway, I just finished the site so I'm just now beginning the phase where I'll post on the classified websites.

    $8000 using FB Groups method:

This is a method that seems perfect for newbies who are just starting out. It cannot be done exactly as explained in the thread though because your URL will just be blacklisted if you keep on posting it. You have to modify it a bit, blocking admins no longer works so you end up losing accounts a lot after you get reported and banned from groups for spam. Anyway, after working out how to get around the new changes I ended up making $233.85 from it for the week but the conversion rate is pretty rubbish at 0.9% so I'm going to try different offers.

That's pretty much all for now except a logo I bought on Fiverr for a t-shirt design. I'm looking to try a teespring campaign as I've heard it's a pretty decent way to make some cash now I have to think about how I want to promote it.

Hey good luck with your goal man! I hope you get to move out of your parents' house as soon. I have a question about the third method regarding fb groups... How did you manage to get around the new changes? Thx.

The problem was posting a link to a site too many times gets it automatically flagged. Facebook would give users a warning page every time they clicked it. So instead, to get around this you link to another page within Facebook. I made another Facebook group, posted a message with my link inside the group and then sent users to that post.

Oh thats a pretty good work around. Do you send people by tagging the page/group name? (using @...) or by posting a link to that group/page? I have seen people sharing a post from their account/page/group with a link and a picture. When you click the link there wasn't any warning page, it went directly to the site, so maybe that works too.

I send a link directly to the post. If you click the time/date underneath your post, you'll get a permalink.

I also use Hootsuite to mass send posts to 100 groups at a time so I haven't tried using that other method but I've seen that work to. I just don't want to do it manually, with Hootsuite I can just schedule posts for the rest of the day and leave it.

    Good luck on your journey.

I was wondering which network are you going to use for the classified method?

Taking action is the most important thing in IM and glad to see that you're actually doing that.
Good luck with your journey mate!
