Someone is creating hoplinks using my nickname in clickbank. In my account analytics In the past few days they have sent on average 100 hops a day to one particular vendor, but no sales. I want to know why! Is it just a honest mistake that they used the wrong nickname or is something else going on here? I am absolutely certain that I have never promoted this product before because its not in the niches that I promote.

I asked a clickbank rep about it and they weren't very helpful. I asked them where the traffic is coming from and they have no clue. They seriously have to update their sales/tracking system!

Plus, I have not made a sale in the past 10 days. I find it odd because I have consistently been making 4+ sales a week for the past few months.

I really hope these two strange goings on are not connected in any way.

    Has anyone experienced this before?

Dude...if you are making 44 sales/wk, then nothing, then you see that your CB nickname has been hijacked...I think you better try checking/changing your p/w to start, then do some more serious digging. You've got a problem there.

Never attribute to coincidence that which can be explained by someone jacking your account. Let us know how this works out for you, cuz I'd hate that shit to happen to me.

    Best,

    RD

no man, he says hes making 4 sales a week - thats a bit different. i cant see how his account has been hijacked - in fact of anything he should be getting more sales if someone is using his ID. my guess is some one ripped off one of his sites and forgot to change the links lol.

Theres a thread on DP about CB sales having tanked since 'black Friday' - and I have seen the same - almost 2 weeks and no sales but loads of hops on my 2 accounts - i fear something is up with CB

Yeah it's been a week since I got my last sale.

But you HAVE to be careful. The hijackers could use your nickname to do some illegal stuff and get your account banned.

Yeah reset your password.. You should have got more sales with some other guy using your ID as well. Probably a mistake, his ID could be similar to yours.. But its better to be cautious

yeah i agree with the posters above, sounds like someone has just ripped your sales page and not changed the link urls. Hopefully CB will sort it self out soon and sort alot of CB members accounts out so they start tracking the sales again.

The only concern I would have is if this person does something that goes against CB terms and gets your account banned - that said, you really have to be doing bad shit to get banned from CB

Why not use CB's hoplink generator - it encrypts your hoplink so your user ID cannot be seen or extracted (I hope)

Its probably the vendor trying to raise the gravity of one of his products by sending sales via your name, probably chosen at random.

This makes a lot of sense.

I've seen a few people around the net claiming clickbank scams its users. I personally don't believe it, but I could be wrong. I made my first sale from clickbank in mid november and sales have been growing steadily since.

i'm staying away from clickbank for now.. lots of people are losing sales... and i think it's their new tracking system. maybe they changed tracking from realtime so they could steal everyone's sales..
