Someone stole my entire website and SEO!

How many pages are those and did you edit everything in one go?

what a wake up call!

How many pages are those and did you edit everything in one go?
I have in total 4 pages includes index. I edited index and another one page, rest two pages i only changed keywords. I updated all pages on cloudflare pages in same time and then (only 10 minutes later) i take new request for indexing in search console.

After few hours i discovered clone of my site on google. I think the attacker cloned my old version of the page and when I updated my original page to a slightly different text, suddenly there was a window for Google that I had new text and the attacker with the cloned version also had different text (my original version).

So google no longer saw my old content and indexed the clone with my older content. But this rocket catapulted clone SEO above mine and now I'm useless...

As soon as I found out, I uploaded my old version of the page (the cloned one) to cloudflare again. But now I feel that now Google is really treating my original page as a clone because I indexed the content after it was already indexed by the clone. But maybe GOOGLE FORGOT THAT I WAS THE FIRST ONE TO INDEXED EXACTLY THIS CONTENT BEFORE SOMEONE MADE MY CLONE!

Your multiple complaints here won't make any difference,
Most of the websites are just a very tiny part of the overall internet,
Google won't change the algo even if they see your complaints, it's just some random website that got under the radar,

File a DMCA request to Google to remove their pages,
Get more authority to your website to avoid similar future problems,

Content is just a part of the overall SEO, with the same (or similar) content, authority will make the difference,
Whenever they clone your website/content or write/rewrite similar copyright-free content, you'll outrank them if your website is more authoritative,

You mentioned it, they can clone the websitete again if they take the current one & rank again,
They can even hire some random cheap writer and outrank you again

Yes thank for your repply. But main point is question, how 4 days old domain with my cloned page can have higher rank than my few months old domain? This is what i dont understand... It does not have logic...

It happened to me 3 years ago. I contacted the hosting provider of the copied website through their support channel, and I sent them proofs that the content was first published on my site. The hosting provider was very nice, and took down the site quickly. You should check through whois where the site is hosting, and contact the provider.
Please keep us informed, and goodluck :)

He does not care to rank himself. The fact that its now duplicate content will make it harder for you both to rank. Chances are hes a competitor with a unique site and just built that one to get rid of you.

It doesn't sound like you have done any link-building and just have content. If he just has a couple of quality links, good chance he will rank over you, especially when you have identical content.

If you change parts of the text he will auto change the content on his website to? If yes, you can scan for the crawler IP and change what the crawler sees... i happened something like this before and i send some nice xxx on their website.
If is manually taken from your website then add your domain name inside hidden on the post.
You kinda can't fight this but you can make some challenges for him/her to don't be so easy just to copy-paste. I happened many times but with a little programming, you can make their life hell :D
If he uses AdSense then DMCA will help but if he uses some random ads that don't care about DMCA then he will not care...DMCA these days is kinda useless...

It happened to me a few times and it wasn't exactly "cloning".

There's a way to do this by using reverse proxy which forwards any request to their domain to your website. You can easily find it out This way any content update you make on your website appears on the clone immediately.

You can check your server log for requests from the cloned website's IP. That IP can be easily forbidden in your web server's configuration.

There might be other techniques but anyway it's more probably not a copy/paste of your website pages. You can google cases like yours.

He probably added a backlink from his PBN.

A lot of SEOs are just going for low hanging fruit searching for new/weak websites to steal their content and keywords.

You need to disable your wp feed and don't post every new article on the homepage. There are many other things you can do, like blocking bots or like Jamie said before, embed a script into the page.

I'm an SEO newbie, but even I understand that a 4-month-old website and a 4-day-old website without any backlinks are the same thing. Zero remains zero. For this reason, old websites with 0 backlinks or any content that once had traffic are not interesting to anyone. In my opinion, 4 months is a very short time for Google to have solid data to protect your content from losing rankings.

bizarre had no idea that this was even possible to do with success

Hi, I have a big problem. I wrote a website with good SEO with about 10000 words. Today I edited/updated the whole text a little bit and asked for indexing on google. After a few hours, I found out that someone else copied 100% my whole site (previous version of the texts) and indexed on google.

I CAN'T FUCKING BELIEVE THAT GOOGLE INDEXED THIS CLONED PAGE AND MORE IMPORTANTLY PRIORITIZED IT OVER MY ORIGINAL ONE!!! So now my site is worthless because the cloned version got all the SEO ranking and mine died.

I can't believe that google is so stupid and indexes 100% clones which wipe out the SEO of the original page!!!

I have already written a complaint to ICANN and the domain registrar. This is my only chance to block the domain and maybe get my content back.

Is there anything else I can do if the registrar does not suspend this domain? I was thinking that I could attack with very bad backlinks on this domain so that google would penalize it. Or I don't know what to do anymore...

I will be glad for any advice thank you!
Dm me let discuss

Write articles with porn contents, block that website scrape, and then change to normal text.

Registrar already suspended domain. So i think that once google remove his results from search, my site will be again prefered as first and original content. Im really happy for this. So it is all solved.

By the way, here is the "motivational" lesson from this situation. If you are a content creator and you update your page content, anyone can steal your previous content instantly. Google is not on your side, Google doesn't remember changes to your previous content, Google is against content creators and will cheat you.

Great! If the clone website is down now but its pages are still indexed then these can be considered as outdated content and so you can raise requests to Google with "remove outdated content". It will remove the pages faster.

Wow, that sounds incredibly frustrating! Have you thought about keeping an eye on your backlinks or using tools to catch any duplicate content? Being proactive with your SEO can really help tackle these issues before they escalate
