Good call lol This has happened to me a few times... but it doesnt bother me at all since the internet is so big... the likelyhood of anyone else seeing these pages together are very slim. Unless your targeting the same keywords... just outrank him and its all good.

    Cheers

This happens all the time and unless your site is a really big established website and you're losing a lot of money because of it, there's nothing you can/should do

My landing page to my clickbank product was duplicated EXACTLY by an affiliate, AND also the domain! (they bought a .info site of the same name)

I KNOW this person is selling MY product and I'll benefit if someone goes to the .info domain, but cripes, talk about not even trying.

I've amassed a huge pile of info on this person. (domain registration, other products they're promoting, Ezine/Youtube/Squidoo/Hubpages profiles, etc) My choices are:

    1. I contact them and tell them to knock it off. They say "screw you", I click bomb them out of existence - they do the same to me.

    2. I don't contact them and just click bomb them out of existence. They wonder who did it to them.

What do you guys think? Is it kind if skeezy to copy an entire domain AND the landing page? I am benefiting from all this and I kind of doubt it will be cutting into my sales. I own the authority site for the keyword topic.

If it was my site I would give them a chance to take it off + pay me a fee and if they refuse I would sue them. Copyright infringement ;) Laws are tight on that.

I would go the copyright route like Darkface said. Give them a chance to take it down and make amends. If they refuse and you do not want to go through the legal mess, wait a month or so then clickbomb the S*it out of them.

Copyright? I haven't sent a PA form to Washington in over 20 years. Cripes...I've been downloading stuff for free for YEARS. (*I'm talking about using a modem via a BBS before the Internet existed.) It would be incredibly hypocritical of me to whine that someone stole my stuff. To me it all comes with the territory.

    I don't get mad...I get even. :)

[*Note: No really, I'm talking about serious pirating. I would take 4 hours to download Photoshop 2.5 over a modem via a long distance phone call. The phone bill would be more than if I just bought the software! It was the principle of the thing.]

Guilty, I just did that to a site on Friday. Changed the graphics and a quick rewrite of the content. All for an A/B test. Testing if customers want Fluff or Content.
