Hello BHW!

It came to my attention that unfortunately, some low-life scammer who don't really know how to earn any money online decided to go out scamming, and that is by somehow registering my email address as their Skype name ID to scam people using my services. PLEASE DO NOT ADD MY EMAIL ADDRESS ON SKYPE FOR MY SERVICES AND CONTACT ME DIRECTLY ON BHW INSTEAD UNTIL I GET THE ISSUE RESOLVED.

As currently this prick registered my email as their Skype ID. I highly apologize about this especially to @Zqink who fallen victim and thanks to him, I noticed about this.

I am having a hard time understanding how this is even possible and I am trying to contact Skype support. How can someone register my email address on Skype if it was mine already? If someone can help me out, it would be very much appreciated so I could get this issue resolved as soon as possible. Thanks!

I don't think it is possible without the approval code.

While I been here A lot of sellers turned to scammers after getting paid a high amount, mostly they don't deliver what they got paid for, or just stop responding.

For me, I don't think it's even possible for someone to register via your email. I hope you are not making excuses.

MODS SHOULD COMMENT ON THIS AND INVESTIGATE.

I am not a Jr.VIP or anything but I vouch for Luca, I have bought a website from him before and he helped me whenever there was problem, hope this gets resolved.

If its other than hotmail they verify email address with security code.

I am more then happy to let in the BHW MODS investigate this with me and I am willing to give them all necessary details so they can check this matter themselves.

I have nothing to hide, I did not do anything. The issue was resolved with the buyer, and I will even compensate him for his lost even though I had nothing to do with it. Somehow, someone registered my EMAIL as their skype ID and I cannot change it back. I have access to my email, I have access to my Skype too. Nothing was compromised - but there is a NEW ID with my email address showing on Skype pretending to be me. Whenever people type in my email address now - they get redirected to this scammer instead to MY Skype ID.

I will say this happens when you grow good

Whenever I talk to a buyer or seller on Skype, I confirm via BHW PMs that it's them.

At this point, everyone should be doing the same, because not only are you not covered by BHW for starting a deal on Skype, but you can also be talking to a scammer.

This is something I always do as well, unless I’ve taken contact details directly from a BST. Just to confirm I’m definitely talking to the right person.

I highly agree with this.

Thank you so much! Appreciate it. :)

I am already speaking with the mod - everything will be resolved hopefully. Basically this scammer put my original email as his primary email too so he is showing up in the search results on Skype as well, making it seem like he is me, but in fact he is just a desperate degenerate scamming kid. Sad, and what is more sad is the fact that Skype makes it easy for these people to scam doing these type of stuff.

It is about this thread: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/got-scammed.1265143/

Someone got scammed for $25 and the OP probably helped him to recover with a free account or something related.

The OP just want to short things out and warn the community. Shit happens, I commented this just to help the fellow readers understand what happened.

Doesn't look like he signed up with your email, He just set his username to Lucas email to scam people who don't know how to vet or look for that sort of shady stuff.

Pretty much the same conclusion that I came to. The accounts actual email address would not be available publically on the skype directyory anyway, as far as I know. I agree that the scammer seems to have set their "friendly display name" to match the sellers email address, thus making it look like they are the seller, when in actual fact they have a different skype ID and probably some random email that they've actually used to register with.

I would advise @Luca Jones to send a request in to support.blackhatworld.com and ask for a disclaimer to be added to the opening post of your BST alerting potential buyers to this issue along with instructions on how to avoid it (ie, search for and add the skype name rather than searching via email and also to PM you on blackhatworld if they need clarification).
