Since two days, every few hours I have large view spikes of around 5k views per hour according to realtime analytics.
around 95% of those views drop after a few minutes or hours, but ~4k sticked already - source according to analytics: Unknown/Direct.

Should I disable Monetization for that video? (I turned it off already but does it matter?)
How can I prevent my video / channel from getting banned for ordering fake views?

I am not an experts, but maybe you can set your video to private for a day or two and see what happens afterwards.

How do you think would that help?
Could you be more specific please?
If possible, I would like to avoid taking videos down of course.

you should definitely turn off the Monetization for some time may be a week or so until the person stops sending those spam views !

If you did not paid fake views don't worry, Google knows everything, they can find sorce of those views, and if you paid them you will feel Google hammer, if you didn't why would you worry about them?

You could just delete the video and reupload it, or if its a channel wide attack you can report the low quality views to Google or your network. As long as you are not getting paid for those views, you shouldn't get the ban hammer.

Okay, I will leave it disabled then, thanks!

How can Google tell whether I ordered those fake views or someone else?

Nah, I dont want to loose my search ranking, I will definitely not delete that video. Does it make sense to report the fake views to google even when they are just on one video?

I don't know what you're doing and how shady it is in Adsense's eyes, but if you're completely white hat and don't care if you bring your channel to Adsense's attention you can fill out this form:
(won't let me post url, so just google "How can you prevent invalid activity". In the first result, at the end of the first paragraph there is a link with the text 'notify us'. That is the invalid activity form.)
This will alert them to the fact that you have recognized invalid activity and might prevent them from finding the activity on their own and terminating your adsense account. Remember though, if you are doing anything remotely that might be considered a violation of Adsense's TOS, it would be in your best interest not to fill out the form, because it will draw their attention to your channel.

Thanks for this advice, I will keep this in mind!

However, fake views have stopped now, so I dont think I will busy myself with it anymore.
