Some guy is trying to log into my Hotmail account every day. I see it in the log in recent activity section. He is probably from Russia, but many times log in attempts are from Spain, Vietnam... I guess he is using proxies.

What can I do? I already added phone verification if someone wants to change password and some other features. Can I block cetain countries log in attempts with Hotmail?

let it be. their gonna get tired sooner or later.

You already added phone verification then dont be scared your account is 100% safe

Sorry, I'll stop trying to brute force my way into your Hotmail account...

You should try temporarily changing your password to something extremely intricate like !!!!5736chfbhe337??!!@@!! in addition to the security measure you've already taken.

Switch to a provider with 2 steps log in. For example, whenever I log in to my e-mail from any other device apart from my home pc, I`ll receive a code on my phone which I need to enter apart from the password. Of course, you`re fucked if your battery dies and you need to access your email while not at home.

That's a good suggestion, although what do you suggest the OP does with their current email (especially if their current email has their brand name in it)? Transfer their contacts over and delete it?

Two step verification is the way. I had very terrible experience last year & enabled 2 step verification since then. Works great!

You're protected 99.9% will take way too long for this guy break in. hes gonna get tired soon.
id suggest backup your contact details, download messages or whatever you have and have it transferred to gmail which is way more scured.

Backup all important stuff and move to gmail. Its the only advice i can give. The guy trying to get into your mail will fail though.

2 step all the way 20-40 char password , code to phone even if there lucky to
break it........without the phone code there stuck anyways.....

Just a nice secure password - completely made up word, with uppercase, lowercase, numbers and a character.
they will never crack that.

uppercase, lowercase, numbers and a character. 20-40 of them with phone code
keeps door closed

Add a Ж and a Д in your password, that'll keep them out of your account. :D

(I'm not sure if Cyrillic will display on this forum).
