I freaking out here i dont know what happened. my site was ranking 5th position for [product name] review keyword and somehow a hacker has completely duplicated my wordpress site.

i just came back from holidays to check my rankings and another site with the exact same website Title was ranking in my place. so naturally i opened the site only to realise the site is an exact copy of mine.

only diference is that the hacker has added more articles and theres a little change in the right navigation but the exact same review, same logo, same theme exactly the same everything even the articles...

the hacker's domain which his ranking in my position for is: productname.clanteam.com/[my original website name here.net]/index.html

    WTF?!

I get that there are hackers and its not that hard to duplicate a site but HOW DOES GOOGLE MAKE THE MISTAKE OF RANKING THIS GUY?!?!

The guy's clickbank id is: iammillio

Seriously im so pissed cause this was my first and only income making site... I've contacted clickbank to get this guy banned and im gonna contact google directly but i dont know if i should contact their 'security' email or their 'safety or abuse' email.

Please any help or advice would be truly appreciated!

File a DMCA and his host will take him down.

hopefully you left links in your articles/posts/pages that point back to your site and he was happy enough to copy them as is.. dont worry about dupe content. go make a few hundred free web 2.0's, copy your original site into those, with links back to your site, and let them sit. you can pop your new 2.0's into position below you and above him and get him outta the front page.

@op : What about the domain name ?

    Are they similar ?

Is your website redirecting to his ?

I'm looking forward your answer. Beyond the fact that what you are going through is terrible, there are others factors i'd be interested to know.

If you report him to clickbank they will ban him. I once copied an article and put a clickbank product in it. I got reported and clickbank said if I did not take it down I would be banned.

looks like some others are having the same problem, well I'd like people to know that I've gotten my rankings back and that guy's site has been deindexed. This is what I did:

I filed a DMCA to both his host and to Google, I didn't know the correct format to file the DMCA so both of them were rejected and I was told to send a proper DMCA lol.

BUT when I filed my DMCA in Google, they had a section for extra information we can give about the site, so I wrote like a letter explaining the whole thing, about the guy stealing my content and his taken my exact rankings in google and is also stolen my pagerank. I think this is what got him deindexed, even though my DMCA didn't go through they realised someone was exploiting their search engine and kicked him out :p

So thats how I resolved my issue and my rankings were back within 1 week of sending the DMCA.

    All thanks to iggy!

    1. my domain was just www.EMD.com

and his url which was ranking was something like this www.abcd.com/http://www.EMD.com

Point is his website was complete irrelevant to my site, only similarity was that he had my domain name in his url o.0 which gave it away...

    2. my domain was working fine, it was not redirecting or anything, it was just deindexed and his site overlapped mine somehow.

Go to clanteam.com it redirects to zymic. They're a pretty good free host.

Well he censored the URL in the second post so I don't think that's the right URL.

Ahh... I hate people when they get rank themselves above me by using my content and then adding more quality content. Wait for your competitor to go on a holiday vacation and then you can start adding some more quality content to your site. And when he comes, man he would be shocked. Oh, wait but he would add some more quality content.... this is never ending thing. Man you had a great niche and now you have a competitor in that niche.
