Somebody dinged my site

I have a problem that I hope posters on this forum can help solve. I own a domain . I sell Chlorine Feeder lid orings, my competition sells them for anywhere from $17 to $27. I sell for $9 delivered.

Now my problem, I believe one of my competitors has black-hatted my web site somehow, if that's the word. Search Google for CLX200K (the part number for the oring), two weeks ago I was on the bottom third of the first page, and had been ever since my site was indexed.

Now my index page is nowhere to be found on Google. Search Google for my domain and the only result is my contact page and my ebay 'About Me' page which includes the url.

I use googles anlylics and webmaster tools, on the dashboard my domain is listed, with no errors, no warnings, verified, robot.txted, sitemaped... everything good to go. But if I click on my domain, it takes me to my contact page....

How old is your domain name?

When a new domain is indexed in Google its not uncommon for a domain to receive high rankings only for it to be pullled soon after and placed in Google Sandbox for a period of ~6 months.

I noticed Google did some updates to SERP less than a week ago and sites have been jumping up and down like crazy. Its more than likely that Google pulled your site temporarily than your competitors "blackhatting" you.

Its possible the algo change might have caused this to happen. Take a look at the source code of competitor sites and see what keywords and phrases they have throughout the site. If this was a ringtone or dating site I would suspect some keyword manipulation. I doubt theres that much competition for an CLX200K so chances are your competition is reaping the rewards of an an algo change.

It's most likely a result of an algo change or sandboxing.

To check whether your site has been removed from G SERPs, just search site:yourdomain.com in google.

This will throw up all the pages of your site that are indexed.

This is a little off-topic...but I have a blog @ blogger and I want to not only move but get my own domain name. Will the pages that I currently have indexed be lost...
