Hi,

I'm thinking seeding good amount of torrents (usually small files but a number of them. But completely new into this.

Can someone please guide me on

What is the configuration of PC I'll need (I have a laptop is that ok for initial traffic? Do I need to buy a server?
What is configuration of dream PC which will successfully seed torrents.
Idle internet speed required.

Your help is appreciated.

the computer specs arent so much of an issue but you will want your internet upstream to be fast.
 
Just buy a seedbox, it's so much easier, a dedicated PC in your house would be OK, supplying that you have a good upload speed.
 
Can we also modify torrents in the seedbox. Or do we have to download it to PC, modify it and then upload to seedbox.
 
if you have a seedbox with remotedesktop u can modify the torrents on the box ... i had a seedbox from seedhost.eu and i can really recommend then! u can pay with paypal and the server connection is very fast ( 100mbit non shared ). the only negative point is the long waiting time for support tickets ( 1 day ... )!
 
If you upload them to Demonoid, they'll pretty much get seeded forever from their members. Private trackers value seeding after downloading very much.

The whole point of torrents is to spread the bandwidth around so that the initial seeder isn't having to fully send the file to every single person. If you're doing files under 10MB your connection will not matter, 56k would even work if you were able to seed all day.

You do not need anything special for torrent seeding, that's the beauty in it. If you were uploading 2GB+ a day than you might want to look into special arrangements.

Hey termsB how many downloads you get if you upload something to Demoniod
 
yh like people said computer specs are not necessary but its you internet connection. If you have a good upload speed you can give it to people more quickly. If you leave your computer on for like a whole night and day you might get lots of peers.
