some sound SEO advice pls : )

hey would love some feedback on these stats - especialy thos who use market samURAI I hope this can in turn help others cos back links alone do jack s**it - its a combo of different factors , (the simple gurus preach backlinks ),- but a combo of what? what is most important ?


as you can see my site has over 10k back links compared with some sites with 100 or 200 only -

I set up an auto blog here
I narrowed the one factor that I need to rank with as .gov and .edu links so I bought a load of em - now my rank has gone down a few - but this is teh google dance - will these new links boost me in the SERPS ?

the only thing I can't control is domain age and to some extent pr - the other things like basic seo - kw in h1 , title ,desc , meta --are all done ( in purple - with a Y ) on my site -- ( still some top 10 blogs rank without these - but why ?)

so - with all these things taken into consideration whats teh next move - I know I do beat some of these sites on 7-8 factors but even back links seem to have no effect - would love some expert input : )

These links u have are they made through scrapebox xrumer cause this may be it, u need very high quality links from good authority sites and try to do some article marketing and those edu and gov links will certainly help, check how many of ur current links are do follow, may be a big factor, what was ur highest rank in this keyword?

Your picture explains it... You have picked very high competitive keyword for ranking... All sites got more domain age and authority then yours... Max of them is in DMOZ...

They got tons of index page and good amount of .edu links.. Anyway you also know whats wrong...

Problem: - "You are doing everything but still unable to rank"

Solution: - No short cut, you picked very tough keyword so it's gonna take time... If you don't have good high quality unique content then forget it... You are not gonna rank for it and even if you manage some rank by any means it will not stick there...
Want ranking then start or keep getting good content...

Get your .edu and .gov backlinks cached... Sometimes they take more time but they will appear sooner or later...

Try to get in DMOZ and Yahoo...

Do usual SEO promotion ( book marking, article and directory submission, press release.....)

Have some patience... I have outranked wikipedia, ezine or other authority sites in several niches.... All with new domains...... even in some niches i outranked sites whose product i was promoting so every thing possible given time and effort... Also correct roadmap...

its my white hat site so - everything is blood sweat and tears - the real deal - i published every day nearly for the last 9 months - good quality content -

I will wait for teh 70 + .edu links i bought last week to get indexed -

my rank is 37 for this KW -- so this is why i reckon I have a good chance

Im gonna outsource a virtual assistance and get more content published to more artilce directories

I think he is asking u a question on how to check all domains backlinks and their pr, its very simple just click the blue arrow at the end of the domain and you will get both of those options

I would say your problem is obvious Domain Age the boys at market sumari put it first for a reason

Other than getting more .edu backlinks, and acquiring DMOZ and Yahoo links, run a backlink report on your main competitors and try to copy where they've gotten they're powerful links from. An easy free tool for this might be SEO Spyglass, though you can't save your data unless you pay for it.

just by one look, i can see that some of the urls are youtube videos which are appearing in the top ten. you just have to build more more and more links. and get them indexed. focus on anchor text backlinks. and numbers really don't matter.

Hey guys here's my SEOC for a site I'm currently ranking 4th for.

I run SEOC in the morning and in the evening and whenever I do the run in the morning I'm 6th and in the evening I'm 4th. I think this is to do with where Google is pulling the info from at the time I run the SEOC update.

Anyway for my situation is it just a case that I build more backlinks to beat the top 3 and get out of this placement drop (whenever I'm 6th its becasue Youtube has 2 videos ranking 4th & 5th). If I find a good authoratative domain with lots of high PR pages where I can leave a comment on is it a good idea to put lots of links on this one domain pointing to my home page and some of my internal pages uisng the related keywords on these different pages or am I better to get a link per backlink website?

Any suggestions/ advice would be appreciated.
