Hello,

For last 2 weeks i have a problem with one of my google news sites.

There is a site that is stealing my posts with WP AUTOMATIC (is reading my feed) and posts to its own site.

Since then, whatever i post on my site he is automaticly posting it and my new posts appear in google only if you search site:https://mysite.com/whatever-post

This shit fucked up all my site and even categories or tags or whatever i add on my site appear in google only if you search by site:URL

How can i fix this ? I made DMCA complaints but nothing happend....the website that copies my content doesnt have any kind of contact form so I cant contact them.

Recently it came to my mind to block all requests from the ips on that site's webhosting, also block the referrer in .htaccess or allow only google bots to the website /feed url.

How can I solve this issue ? Should i erase all my posts and while it blocked to make new posts ? I am out of ideas.

Site got from 30k monthly visits to nothing because of this shit.

file dmca
not to hosting but to google
it will penalise site

We had filed with Google, but Google was no help.

We filed a complaint with the hosting company and they took the site down in 24 hours.

That said, it might be a waste of time. Figure you are on the other end. You will have backups. You can just move to another hosting provider and continue doing your thing.

Good luck.

google do penalize site
wait for google dance
they deindex whole site

Not a lot you can do here, unfortunately.

A few strategies here in the short term to at least frustrate them if they're just dry feeding off your feed:
  • Change your RSS feed from full to excerpts so they don't get full articles handed to them
  • Delay your posts to the RSS, letting Google index your site articles first (assuming they don't just switch to scraping the site directly)
  • Watermark your images (as mentioned) or turn on Hotlink Protection @ your host
  • You can do IP blocking via htaccess or Wordfence, but proxy use will hamper this or make it effectively worthless if they're persistent
  • Using a stateful firewall (they have software versions, such as ConfigServer Firewall) could stop or slow them down considerably if tuned properly
  • Cloudflare challenges could help

Blocking IPs can be a patch but remember they can swap IPs on you. You might want to use Google's URL Removal Tool to get rid of the indexed copied content. While you're at it, use the Disavow Tool to signal to Google that you're not trusting backlinks from the scraper's domain.

This subject was discussed many times on this forum use the search function to find the solution to your problem.
