Some points on YT: video CTR tends to be low usually 1/150 , it's one of the biggest sources of sh%t traffic in operation, so traffic is lazy, distracted, generally younger, and not out to buy anything right away. Conversion on cpa is probably 1/25 if the niche is hot. Math's simple, you'll need about 3750 unique views to convert a good cpa offer (making $1.50 on average). If your vid's hot and you rack up 100,000 natural views (over 3000 views a day over a month), you'll make about $27. Now ask yourself what kind of videos get that kind of traffic on YT and can you produce that kind consistently.

I try to tell it like it is as a lot of noobs get suckered into this game by stories of striking it rich. Usually the story tellers fall into two camps. They're either BSing (who knows why but I ain't judging) or they caught a lucky streak that day. Very few do it on a consistent basis. If you see a too good to be true story always ask for proof or take it with a grain of salt. Numbers never lie.

Some people get off on bragging. Or they have hidden agendas by sharing their "knowledge". You're probably right in all you said. Good info.

maybe ur just not good at youtube. youtube is easy (kinda)

btw your numbers sound about right according to what i've seen with utube. except the part where u say 100,000 views gets $27 according to your calculations. more like $1500.

Considering I made $1k on my first month of Youtube promotion. I think I've done quite well :p
Plus I did not use any Youtube tools at all and overall my videos only had about 10k views all up. Something in your calculations must be wrong :p

Based on my experience my youtube videos didn't really converted a single lead on CPA offers such as ringtone offers. But maybe there's something wrong with my optimisation. I still believe we can make good money from youtube traffic but we can't until we know the right techniques. (we don't even know if these guys claiming they earned 1K+ are really telling the truth unless they give some credible proofs - to see is to believe - Or on the other hand the person discouraging the use of youtube for traffic maybe doesn't want competition or wants to lessen the competition)

If the CTR and conversion I've mentioned appear right to you, and are congruent with your experiences, your cpa offer paid you about $55 per lead. Good on you for finding such a beauty.
