I recently read a Chinese news report that short drama videos have made tens of millions of dollars in a few months.

A short drama script + cost only costs 35,000 to 50,000 dollars.

If I copy their model, will it make money? Do you have any good suggestions?

What do you mean by shorts drama? Like a ten minute drama video split into multiple short parts?

Have you got the same insight to that business as they did?
Do you think $30m is something you can find in nature and just pick it up?
There's some thought work to be done.
The process of it is probably more complex than the news portray it or you see it.

That's what I thought 5 years ago when I worked for someone in their business.
I saw it as something extremely simple where you only need money.
Actually this was not about money, but building and finding unique solutions to business problems. :suspicious:

A normal TV series lasts 45 minutes, with a total of 16-42 episodes.
A short drama lasts about 16-24 minutes, with a total of 16-20 episodes.
It is slightly longer than a short drama, and all of them are bloody love stories, which looks very cool.
A viewing fee of 0.5-1 US dollars is required for one episode of a short drama

I watched Chinese short dramas. Douyin and Kuaishou now provide the function of paying while watching short dramas. Many large online video websites in China have also added short drama columns.

You've said "bloody love". What do you mean with that? Some action/gore/horror drama sub-genre?

Some people have gone bankrupt and became homeless because they did x or y.
There is a tendency of people to look at 2 successful people and thinking this proves that dream of the ultimate goldmine came true.

So? There's 1000 different options that don't require speaking Chinese. :anyway:

Without existing audience, it's gonna be the same everywhere. I don't feel like becoming a clown is the greatest business model.

Utter nonsense like this I guess.

Potential to automate? 2/10
Outsourcing needed? 10/10 (can't make it alone in 1000 years)
Money needed to invest? 7/10
Value to society? 3/10
Production fun? 4/10
Chances of going bankrupt? 7/10
Learning experience? 10/10 (you'll fail very hard and learn a lot)

Overall, hard shit that would give me depression and the next step would be that I would quit business for next 18 years.

Maybe think of something that a person with 50% brain can do?
Connecting offline movie production with online world is like fcked complexity from my perspective.

You can do it if you have 30m+ usd net worth. Maybe it would be fun and not that stressful with that amount of money.

Not very hard to conclude who we're dealing with.

An id9999, a Chinese bot.

I got enough of these!
