    Hi,

I decided the other week there that i was gonna have a crack at the YA game, and already made a small bit of commision answering other peoples questions.

However, from reading the threads, I see that the real trick is to create your own question, keyword rich, and hit the top of big G.

But as this is my first ever attempt at using keywords, im not sure what I should be aiming for. From what iv'e picked up on here, I should be going to keywords with a decent amount of searches per month, but with low competition, so G will put my question and answer on the first page.

I think ive picked up that these figures are in the right area:

5000 (or more!) searches per month
less than 80,000 competing pages (found by putting my keyword in " " and searching G"

am i on the right lines?

Try it buddy. It seems that you have got a product worthwhile to promote. You should use market samurai and see how tough is your competition. Parameters like number of searches and competing pages alone won't tell you much. Analyze your competition and see tough they are to crack. Market samurai will help you in doing that.

Actually I don't have a product to promote, I plan just to hit CB pretty hard and search out some products and keywords I can attack. Then do that on YA and relevant forums, little bit of articling until such times as I can do one sale a day for that product, then move on to another product, rinse and repeat

or would I be better to hit different keywords for the same product?
