Some bitch hacked my Y! mail yesterday & started spending spam mails.
I didnt take it seriously & thought would look at it tomo ( as it was night ).

Now today when i login, all my mails & contacts are TOTALLY DELETED!!!!!
Now, what can i do here?

They're dead damn important for me!
Please suggest.

This is what happened exactly,

He hacked & then sent the below mail to all my contacts,

------

Hope you get this on time, This message is coming to you with great depression due to my state of discomfort. Traveled on a short trip with my family to Manila, Philippines. but unfortunately we got mugged and robbed at gun point on our way to the hotel where we stayed. All cash, credit cards and few other valuables were taken away.

We've been to the embassy and the police here and they have done the best they can. Presently, we are having some problem sorting our bills here as we need to settle every outstanding before we can return as our return flight leaves in few hours. I am contacting you to ask for a short loan of $1,950 to settle our bills which I will refund immediately I get my family back home safely. Let me know if you can help.

Hope to read from you soon

Thank you.

MY NAME

-----------------------

Yes, at the end he put by name!!!!! damn. & then deleted all contacts & mails inbox.
What the ???

Just found some other thing. This guy has registered a similar mail address as mine's but adding a "s" at the end like

mine : [email protected]
he registered : [email protected]

& have set it as a recovery id for my mail.
I'm able to log into my mail with my old password.

Did he have some intention or what sort of hack is this?

If there's on other solution, try calling Yahoo Service. I'm not joking, seriously.
My friend had his hotmail account hacked once, he called their service line for help and they actually investigated the issue and reinstate his account back with his password changed just for him.

I would recommend:
- Changing your password
- If you use the 'remember password' option of your browser, use a Master Password to encrypt it
- As BlackSeng said, contact Yahoo

You do not have any Deleted Contacts
That's message i see. The bitch has deleted all contacts & mails permanently.

What's his intention & what the???

Make sure you send an email to everyone letting them know that you're okay so they don't get scammed!

any more thoughts, can i recover my mails?

and why does he include my name at the end ( how did he know my name ? ) & why did he delete all mails & contacts?
Could someone help to find who is?

the hacker must be from Philippines and trying to scam your contacts, change your other emails password but with a different computer yours might be infected and some antivirus cant detect that and not just email your other important accounts too, and also you can always check your emails activity logs, oh and dont waste your time finding these scumbags it wont help i know how it feels it happen to me before but what i did is

-use a different computer that im sure is clean
-change all important accounts info emails, cpa accounts, server info etc.
-full format on the computer im using
-dont trust anyone for receiving files or atleast use sandiebox and vmware

edit: make sure to check your email settings before changing your pass, they probably set your email forwarding

I can try to recover the email address. Please send me your skype name.
Thanks

and why does he include my name at the end ( how did he know my name ? )
serious? you gave your name when you registered the account, if he hacked into it, he had/has full power over it, from that point it's a pretty easy task to figure out the name of the account holder, no?
and from what you wrote, it seems, that your email address contains your name too

i don't get one thing tho, if your account has/had valuable info/content for you, how would you leave something like this for the next day? why haven't you changed the password on spot (from another computer which has no connection to your machine just to play 100% safe)?

contact yahoo as others already suggested
