BM authentication errors are quite common at the moment, but Facebook is working on a fix. You can check the authentication status in the BM Security Center; this feature will usually be re-enabled when the system is stable. If BM is still stuck, you should transfer admin rights to a previously authenticated account or try using a different device to avoid temporary system errors.

yes, recently Facebook is updating features related to BM so a lot of problems and errors have happened with BM, besides the one you mentioned, a lot of BM can't even send invitations to participants.

It seems like Facebook has a real system error. The BM verification has been intermittent for the past few days, and many people have been stuck. Now some BMs have recovered on their own, so it is likely just downtime and not a penalty. Just wait a bit and try again.
