I have spent about a week researching and writing an amazing article for my site, and about 2 days making a large and professional infographic that basically contains the same information. The infographic was made specifically to add more SEO opportunity and also to add a little viral effect to the post (hopefully people download and share the image). I posted the link to reddit, and it didn't do too well, 5 up 2 down. and then of course your other major social media. There is no reason this didn't get more views, I know it sounds like I'm kind of being cocky, but it really is a fantastic and interesting article.

I got about 150 views today from posting that, and Im sure it deserved way more (again Im speaking objectively not just being cocky). I am wondering why it wasn't voted on more on reddit, I was sure it had a chance being on the front page.

If this is your first time posting on reddit and for this site, dont expect huge views. You have to build a following unless you have people with other sites link to it. There are ways but for what your expecting you have to be real, regardless of how good YOU THINK the article is.

Reddit is a lot about reputation. If you're using a brand new account, it can be hard to get a lot of views right off the bat.

A lot of marketing is patience. Share that image on forums and everything you can, and focus more on your next article being even more successful.

Reddit is a very fickle community. Unless you have a lot of rep or amazing content, don't expect too much out of it.
