So what i'm thinking is contacting twitter and telling them I was hacked as i still have the original email (which might or might not do anything) my account had almost a million followers. yes they paid alot but they also lied to me quite a bit and ripped me off thousands of dollars that i should of received but didnt. there is no official contracts signed or anything, and they wont take the money back for the account to be repossed. all done over skype and bank wire. shorting me some thousands$ all of a sudden makes it not worth the sale. so when/if i do that whos to say one day if i get it back someone else didnt hack them? they cant exactly 100% blame me. it just seems a little messed up what they did and i feel i can do something. any suggestions?

So you erickishere, as a Senior Member here, are telling this guy that after he sold something in which he fully agreed to a price and accepted the terms of the deal that he should contact Twitter and say his acct was hacked? What about the guy that in good faith sent him the large sum of money, as agreed. This sounds extremely shady to me and if I was the guy who paid "alot" of money I the first thing I would do is come to the guy I just paid. Lastly if the email change was confirmed you have a very small % chance at stealing this acct back from the rightful owner.

P.S. It bums me out that we have reputable members giving Newbies here such bad advice and encouraging hacking, in effect.

For a large amount of Money, you guys should have a middle man that both of you could have trust completely, who would have handled the exchange.

What part of the story where the guy says he was shorted thousands of dollars did you miss? It bums me out when people are so quick to rush to judging others when they don't even fully understand what they're commenting on. The OP said he was shorted thousands of dollars with no other recourse. If he gets the account back he can then hold it until they pay the rest of the money they owe, or refund the money they have paid already, which he offered to do in exchange for the account back orginally. There's no reason to attack another member for suggesting an action, I don't see you offering up anything to help.

Surely he did say something to that effect. He told this newbie, that yes, he should contact Twitter and say he got hacked. When in reality, even as admitted to by OP, that the acct was paid for. So in my world that would be stealing. Not sure what world you live in where that is not stealing or hacking??

if he was not paid a promised then why the hell he transfered account.

If we agreed on a price, and I paid you a few thousand less than that, and I wouldn't agree to just return the account/site upon being refunded the "short" money I did send, or send the rest of the money that's owed, then yes, I believe you would.

If he doesn't like to get a refund and give you your account back, or to send the rest of the money, you have only one option left.

why would you transfer ownership before receiving all of your cash? this is the internet friend. I would try to get the account back and refund their money lest 5% for the inconvenience.

The deal is closed my friend, move on. Not all sales prove to be as profitable as you may have wanted, so please forget about it.

if you agreed apon an amount and they decided to pay less instead then i would say you should try to get it back, get the rest of your money and then walk away with them having your account but if you suddenly have remorse and feel you could get more and are trying to do that after agreeing apon an amount then you're out of luck.

LOL, this is the prime reason I would never open a service to the public on BHW. Yeah, he's got no recourse, just suck it OP (sarcasm). I can't believe how many people are telling him to eat when they'd be the same one's in here screaming about how they got scammed. It's funny, I didn't realize we had so many generous people here that wouldn't mind being told one thing and handed another.

If you want to discuss whether or not he should've transferred it in the first place that's another story, but as usual the majority of you don't get the point. OP I feel bad for ya, I wouldn't look for much depth and understanding here. Context and nuance doesn't play nearly as big of a role as rushing to judgement, or getting your advertisement out there. I won't bother with this again, but I feel bad for ya OP, sucks you just gotta take the loss and do nothing about it. Maybe I'll hit up Prab and offer to selling him some accounts, send him half of what I said, and we'll split the rest. ;) He doesn't seem to mind being told one thing, while being given another.
