Software to monitor links?

    Is there free software that will monitor links? a software that will warn or give us alert once the link deleted in either it is a social bookmark, article submission, blog comment, etc..

    check out http://pingdom.com, it sends out a notification via email/sms if an URL/IP is down or contains/doesn't contain a certain string, "deleted" fe.

    well, do you need live?
    cant u use scrapebox free tool link checker and have your list and do a check once a month or some thing like that?
    Services like pingsome checks with a few minutes intervall.
