Hi i have just received an email from social blade stating that the website was recently hacked and a 'partial database dump' containing emails, IP's and encrypted passwords was taken. Theres a link asking me to change my password. Has anyone else had this email?

    Cheers

It's legit - the database has been leaked. Change your passwords.

This is the reason I use a different password for all login pages. It's not easy to remember all those passwords, but, when and I do mean when they get hacked, I just have to change one (1) password, not all my social media passwords.

Fing sites that can't have a decent firewall. It's probably an insider hack or fools got lame and didn't update their server software recently.

I don't blame the hackers. Most hackers just do a good job of making sure companies keep their shite straight and on their toes.

    Seriously?

You guys are members of BHW and you still use the same password for everything? Seriously?

Not for nothing, but if you use the same password for everything, you really have it coming!
