Social signals for SEO... Does it matter where they are coming from?
If I'm located in Germany, does it matter which countries these Social signals are coming from?
Does somebody have experience with this?

I see all kind of Social signals services here on BHW, any recommendations?

    Thanks

It won't matter, either way it will help in SEO.
But if you are targeting your keywords locally then try regional social websites to get better ranking in your country.

Yes targeted keywords are local. Most people are using are Facebook, linkedin, youtube, twitter... Some Pinterest and Instagram

I wouldn't worry too much about where your social signals are coming from, to be honest with you. I doubt it's much of a factor.

I think it doesn't matter if you have any global service , but it is not beneficial if you have local service based site. then you should target your local traffic.

To be honest I think it DOES matter. Or do you think that it looks natural to you if there are mostly foreign users who have shared your site on non-german sites?
And do you think that G o g l e cant see that?

I know what your problem is: You cannot find enough social sites in Germany. I have the same problem :)

As far as geo location that shouldn't matter. but based on the social sites I feel like that plays a role

Backlinks are more stronger than social signals.
There is a reason for this.

Google is not much evolved to accurately assess the quality of social shares. But whereas, Google is champ at determining the quality and relevancy of backlinks. So Google is greatly dependant on backlinks for ranking webpages.

But I am sure that in future QUALITY of social signals will be as important as quality backlinks. Focusing on QUALITY social shares would be future-proof.

So I can say that QUALITY backlinks are stronger than social signals.
