Social networks.. still profitable?

I moved on to bigger and better things after the myspace captcha smackdown, but Im just about ready to close up one of my bigger projects so aside from cookie stuffing Ill have time to develop something interesting again =D So Im curious, is social network marketing actually still, you know, worth the time?
