Social Networking Website

I have a great (but private) plan & outline for a Social Networking site.

I'm stuck on two things:
1. A name (I can't think of ANYTHING!)
2. How to start (I really don't know where to begin).

I don't want a FaceBook/MySpace/Twitter Clone, I want to make something better.

The site itself takes all the nonsense of other social networking sites, adds some love & joy, then publishes all content freely and peacefully.

1. Name: Not sure how to help with this without knowing a little more. But if it is not to a particular niche you can just create something unique that can be sounded out easily.

2. How: There are a lot of scripts you can start with and then customize to your liking. I started a video social network called christianvolume but used a script called phpmotion and then highly customized it to make it my own. Started from complete scratch is pretty insane these days when there is some much ground work already done for you at little to no cost.

I plan on (maybe) using Joomla. Any thoughts on that? I've never tried/used Joomla before.
