I have a presentation later this afternoon to speak to a client about doing social media for them and I am stumped as to what exactly I should be talking about.

So far what I can come up with is:

-Bookmark their site and all their content
-Write blog posts for them and manage comments
    -Fill out reviews for them
    -Twitter followers
    -Facebook likes

They are launching a new iphone app

What do you do or would you do for a social media client? whitehat and blackhat. Sadly, these aren't the type of guys that I can charge $900 to set up a facebook fan page. I need to bring some value.

    Thanks4thehelp

I don't know what kind of SEO you would do for an Iphone App?

Speak mostly about brand building, creating better reputation of the company in the eyes of certain group of people that use social media, and of course - about new stream of people interested in the product of the company.

Forget to speak about bookmarking, twitter and that stuff, if client won't ask about it. It's not what he is interested in. He cares only about ROI and profit.

Don't forget Google+ integration. That may help out.

You want to explain all the things previously mentioned. The problem is the guy will probably be like "so what". You understand the benefits of all those things, but the customer probably doesn't. The closest one to making sense to him will probably be the "branding" concept, and he might not totally get what that actually even means for internet marketing.

I posted a thread a long time ago, that might give you some more ideas on how to explain why he needs to do all the things you're suggesting to him.
    SEO - Understanding the Simulation

Go read that post and let it gel in your mind with the other thoughts you already have. Maybe it can help you come up some ideas for a good presentation showing the benefits of all this stuff to your customer.

    Good luck. :pirate:

Depends on your target audience. If they are tech types, then touch on the details of the process, but don't go too in depth. If they are marketers and it's a marketing driven company, then branding, roi, perceived market value, traffic generation, etc.
