Hi everyone, I just signed up, mainly because I'm looking to build up my profile (and sell my books) on social media. I'm already doing OK on Twitter with 17K followers (I follow 2K), so I guess people must like what I say. But I have gathered these over 5 years and I'd like to give it a boost - but I'd also like to do that without losing the relationship with the followers I've had going back years. I always held back from following lots of people because I was worried it might make me looking like I wasn't "real". But I've come across some people who come across as really personable and "genuine" on Twitter lately who follow tens of thousands of people, so I've now decided to embrace that and follow more. I've bought Follow Liker (which seems awesome) and currently have it set up to follow the "follows" of one of those accounts. Any tips on how I can make the most of Follow Liker? And how not to get banned from Twitter for using it! I'd like to get more RTs on Twitter too. I do get quite a few now, but some people get dozens almost every time they tweet. Obviously I know it's important to post content people want to RT, but it seems like there's something more going on with some accounts. Anyone care to share the secret? I have a few Facebook groups/pages, but I'm probably not making the most of them from a marketing point of view. Same with Pinterest, I have quite a good following on there, but I've really just been using it in the way most people do... And I've only just signed up for Instagram, so I definitely need to do more there. ...So, I know the basics and I've been around on social media for many years, but I'd like to learn some of the more "advanced" techniques professional online marketers use to really crush it on social channels. Are there any must-read threads on this around here? I'm shifting through right now, but there's so much content on here it's hard to know where to start. What would your advice be to someone in my position? Thanks!
