Well it's well known that social bookmarking sites usually are nofollow, yet they are very often recommended as tier 2 links?
Is there even a point of tier linking to a social bookmarking post that is nofollow? I mean that doesn't pass any link juice doesn't it.

So what else to use as tier 2?

They don't class as backlinks no but this doesn't mean they don't give 'juice' to the sites.

To boos the tier1 and make them indexed fast, we can utilize tier2. Having nofollow will give variety to our backlinks structure. You can utilize blog comments, wikis, profiles for tier2.

Sorry guys I think you got my question wrong or rather I did not formulated the right way. I'm aware that they are good tier 2 even if they are no follow, but what I'm curious about is if it's worth to build tier 3 links to those no follow tier 2 social bookmarking sites.
