When spoofing a the referrer for an affiliate link, what kind of content will please an AM? Do people make full landing pages or will a blog with a couple of posts that talk about the offer at hand do?

take a look at the program. see how experienced the AM is. with most AM, that is usually enough. it also depends on what network you are talking about.

Yeah just build up a good relationship with your AM. Always ask before you do something, the worst thing they can say is no.

You should get a cheap webhost and setup a target page prior to doing anything. Send some traffic to it and check your stats - better to test than not get paid.

I don't think you guys got what I meant. I meant will an AM get suspicious if I am getting solid traffic from a blog that has a couple of posts on it relevant to the offer as opposed to a full landing page.

Obviously asking an AM this would not work.

If i was your AM i would get suspicious if you were getting tons of traffic from only a few posts, i would like to know how, hopefully you could come up with a plausible excuse.

AM's check more than referrers, everyone spoofs, or uses redirects. Most CPA companies surf as consumers looking for shady stuff with their links in it, we know how to email fake CL ads, and get phished on social networking sites, etc... Best to ask your AM if what you want to do would be allowed this avoids any issues down the road.
