I forgot how to do whitehat.

Since everything I touch seems to turn to shit dripping with acid and some rotting corpses thrown in using SB/amr/xrumer etc I want to try a totally clean and virgin fresh project and see if it works out better.

    So what should I do?

Manual web 2.0 submission as a start...

Also quality content on site (I do this anyway for whatever site).

Ok, now I'm out of ideas...what else :D?

Social bookmarking/proof. If you want to do it whitehat it is time consuming. Use SB to find high PR ******** blogs for manual posting (I know the use of SB is blackhat so if you really want to be purist you can do the same from Google.
Also make sure all of the basics are covered, that the on page is absolutely perfect.

Yeah really make sure the on page site is on top. Keyword density's relevant and regular unique content which is bookmarked and backlinked. There are many on page factors that must be addressed first before anybacklinking is done, as said many times content is king backlinks are queen.

I did white hat for a year before crossing over. All I did was guest posting, guest posting, web 2.0 and guest posting. I did around 20+ guest posts a day. I do more than that now but I don't actually write anything anymore.

There are some networks you can work with to make the process easier. Postrunner is a tool from The Keyword Academy ($33/month, first month free trial). I used that exclusively for my first six months. It is just one HUGE guest posting system with hundreds of blogs tied in. Then there is Build My Rank which has higher PR and is a little more professional but is more expensive ($59/month) and less white hat. With BuildMyRank you are limited to how many posts you can submit per day per domain where Postrunner is unlimited.

If you want to work with scrapebox first to see how far it gets you, use a footprint like "keyword"+"submit a guest post"

Well I don't give a shit about BH if I don;t get caught it's just the spam stufff seems to have been destroying my serps.

So using SB etc to gather my stuff wouldn't be a prob as there is no footprint in that regard.

Hmm this guestposting thing seems interesting but totally out of my price range. So from what you're saying these are networks where ppl join to find others of similar blogs to post on so they can get context rel backlinks? Nice idea but price is out of the question. So next best thing/poor man's choice would be SB for this?

The thing which makes me shudder about whitehat is that it seems to be based on writing content which is the part of SEO I like the least (unless it's a nice I know alot about and that was dating which is extremely competitive so otherwise my options are limited).

If you use high pr manual blog commenting there is problem .Akismet. I am quite sure that you cannot post more that 20 comments per hour.Yet i am quite sure that you will be safe just in case you write really quality comments and not more that 5 per hour. You cannot write more that 5 per hour if you write really quality comments.

And be sure to use clean IP but it may not be as hugeproblem as domain ban. In addition i am quite sure you would be better if you do not comment on targeted blogs in your nicge. If you do that most likely more site owners will consider your comment spam. If they mark your comment as spam quite fe times a day your domain will be blacklisted by Akismet.

Wow, I just realized that I totally dropped bookmarking from my game for probably over a month now.

An essential part of the whitehat arsenal I would think.

    What parts specifically?

Also are you doing multiple web2.0s from the same sites to the same link (i.e multiple blasts of the same list)? I wonder how much benefit you get from this.

Dude as per our previous discussion look at hellotxt. There is a provider on here although I haven't used them. Depends on budget versus time, you might be best spent creating the accounts yourself, but it does save forgetting to post new blog entries.

Oh, I already have magic submitter for bookmarking- it has around 70 directories.

Did hello text do anything else? I get sort of confused as lots of ppl give me advice (which ofc is good not complaining :D) so I'm trying to work through it all gradually.

It's like ping.fm, it updates several statuses at once. Given you seem to be rich on time short on results I'd recommend one of them.

    Ok, I'll look into it.

I was just working my onpage on one of my new domains.
