My main competitor has around 300 backlinks from a horrible spammy indian blogger, sitewide and not sitewide all of them are follow because they built that site specifically for that.

WEELLL my question is, I did this also just not spammy and not with an indian site but why is mine not getting indexed as a backlink?, their mainwebsite shows all those backlinks from there, but not mine.

I don't want my blog site linking to my money site to appear on google, just to take those backlinks on my blog to show up as a backlink when I check it on my money site.

@OP: That is about the stupidest SEO Strategy I've ever heard of...

Stop building crap links and focus on getting high pr links.

Thank you for opening my eyes, I've been feeling so desperate the last couple of days and I now see it's showing, I honestly needed this to realize I just got TOTALLY side tracked by my competitor and didn't even think twice that their backlinks are mostly shit I just don't see how they ranked first place with such horrible strategy.
    Thank you again the_demon.

To answer original question: have you checked if he buildt any backlinks to that spammy site?
Perhaps this is why his is indexed and yours isn't

In one of my niches, I'm outranked by a site that uses 22 H2 tags on their homepage.

I think those developing Wordpress themes need to take notice that using a proper structure for pages/posts is about worthless as shit to Google right now. In fact, it almost appears that using valid HTML is a negative in Google's eyes. 22 H2 tags and 115 website errors with 5 warnings and you get the #1 spot for a semi-competitive niche. So much for the user experience :D

It's not all about the backlinks...

Wow, isn't there a way to report it for over optimization?, not that you seem worried but that's just not right and I can only imagine how bad the website looks.

Thank you for pointing that out too!
