So as some of you know, the wife and I will be starting college in January. We will be taking courses mainly based around business and marketing. We have decided that we will each take seperate courses, like I will take business administraition and she will take accounting, and so on. Basically, what we are trying to do is cover every aspect of business and marketing education between the two of us (or at least as much as possible) so we can help each other with our own IM business. Also we will be going for a full degree in criminal justice, because we both would like to be homicide investigators one day. Then again, I'm getting kinda old lol, but she will still have plenty of years under her :) Anyways, I have listed a few courses below. Any ideas on other courses we should look into studying would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)

    • Business administraition
    • Business
    • Business office systems and support
    • Accounting
    • Computer programing
    • Web design
    • Computer graphics
    • Computer information and technology
    • Marketing
    • Marketing careers
    • Management

Any ideas on other courses, or maybe which courses above would be the most effective? Thanks :)

From my own experience and the experiences of peoples that have been through a lot of different courses in University I would say that don't even bother taking up Web Design, Computer Programming or Computer sciences. I had a friend who went through Computer Science, and he "Didn't even use 5% of what he learnt" with his work at Red Hat now (He's a coder there).Self learn any code that you need, and take up more practical courses. I'd say BA/Accounting.

Yes I have more subjects to complement the above...

The Fortune 100 company I worked for at executive level for 13 years had a simple business doctrine endeavor to turn every negative into a positive.

Add to that something you 'Have in Spades' OP which is 'Common Sense and Integrity!'

    Need I say any more...

I took a degree in international marketing, and to be honest there were 2 courses out of 20 that were interesting: pricing and B2B marketing. the rest was a load of bs really..

I'd say business administration and 1 other which you are really interested in. there's a lot of stuff which you can outsource quite easily like accounting and technical stuff, go for the courses where you will be learning business management as a whole, cos you're gonna be right at the top, taking the big decisions and stuff.

don't over do it on the courses, you will be better off being an expert in one field than just having an overview of several
but good luck to you both

He could be an expert in one field AND know about the other fields so he's more well rounded :)
