I didn't realize before it was too late. It has very good backlinks and website history. Just one page was hacked I guess and thats the only page that is indexed.

What should I do? I tried not paying for it hoping Godaddy will give up but its been around 15 days and they are adamant on making me pay for it. I also can't bid or buy any other domain in the meantime.

    Can I save the domain?

Not my domain, it was an expiring domain which I bought off of godaddy auctions. I will build a new PBN on it .

Nothing you can do unfortunately, except try to rebuild it from archive.org if available.

Not all hackers abuse the domain. You should have no problems unless it was an SEO attack.

the hacked page was used for a binary software in a different language. Atleast nothing adult or pills related.

Actually, you can chose not to pay. Godaddy will temporary ban your account and you will get it back with $10 or so.
It has happened to me before, i bid on a domain and when I found it is not worth it. I didn't pay for it.

I was hoping that something like that would happen, but nothing has happened and I need to register other domains. They have temp banned my account so I can't bid or buy any other domain.

Then you can contact them, they will ask you to pay the fees to get your account restored.

It will require some extra footwork but the domain can be saved, after you have the domain, registered it with WMT.

You should see a message telling you that your domain got hacked maliciously (something like that), submit a review saying that you have totally fixed the error. It should be lifted within 72 hours, that is from my personal experience, it worked for 3 domains that got hit for being hacked.

Unless your domain is penalized, hacking issue should be fixed easily.

Well when was that domain hacked? Was it indexed with some normal content after the hack? If yes, it should be good to go.

And considering that you still have to pay in the end, you can easily plug it in the GWT and check there, as Peter said.
