I've been doing a lot of research on marketing over these past few years. Had a few successful online retail business attempts (currently making another) that earned me a couple of thousand dollars through eBay and Amazon. It was very enjoyable but I'm looking for new ways to grow. So I've been doing research on getting into the game of CPA, SEO, PPC etc. Some things I understand, other things I don't. But what I've noticed is that most of the attempts that I've seen on the forums tend to be pretty low yielding. I hear about people toiling for hours a day only to make $20. Which to me, just doesn't seem worth while. Now I understand why. So many people are using the same method and there's not enough pie to go around. So I was thinking why not try something a little bit more innovative and less known. But I don't know what that could possibly be. :p All I've got so far is you post an advertisement of a product not currently in your possession (dropshipping). Do all of the mathematical calculation to ensure that you will turn a profit off of the item. Write the advertisement and come up with a really innovative and high view yielding marketing scheme. Like target the right places of the body, kind of like acupuncture, so you can do the most damage in the highly profitable areas. (SEO, keyword searches.)
Only problem is finding the right product to market (I have one) and coming up with enough capital to make the marketing campaign. Ideally, I'd like to make a marketing campaign that pays for itself. But how to do that..... I have some ideas but I'd rather not share them at the moment.

All I know is you gotta think outside the box!

If you don't, then well you become a drone stuck in a boring routine.

What have you done to change the marketing game in your own unique way?

My writing style. My bad. Another thing to marketing, quickly conveying a thought that people will understand. Something else that I'll have to work on. To explain what I meant to say simply is. You can't make money by playing the marketing game the same way that everyone else is. You have to be innovative.

Well yeah...where are you getting that people are all playing the "marketing game" the same way??

Marketing defines a business and dictates the success.

I see people post these stupid methods like. Make money by advertising english pages in a foreign language. Hundreds of people if not thousands use the method. They yield little money and end up wondering why. No wonder their called "sheeple"

The comments had me cracking up a little. Thinking outside of the box is usually good as long as you stick with the basics of what works.

Of course build on the basics but add your own twist.

Good luck man, you will find out very fast that thinking out loud, and rambling incoherently on forum to doing what you said you intend to do is a long harsh road. I hope you are successful nonetheless.

Well, I was interested in finding like minded people. So many people on this forum copy and paste methods from other people. There are few that are willing to create their own. Which is why I guess so many people fail at this game. Anyway I've had my successes, built on my successes and developed new successes. So, I'm golden! I'll pose the original question of this thread to you. 'What have you done to change the game of marketing?'

No offence OP but can you ask the Mods to move this thread to The Lounge.
This is the Making Money Section, nobody making money while reading this and contemplating your questions.

    Good Luck by the way.

Like I said...you are all over the place.

You mention needing capital to execute a plan...now you say you had success.....but then you ask for ways others have changed the game...yet you don't want saturated methods.

    This is nonsense.

Well I'm telling you why I'm different and why I want to change the marketing game. I also want to know how each of you changed the marketing game as well.

No it's not non sense at all. People ask these questions all the time. How did Bill Gates change the software industry? Once your plans have been executed, and you're successful, you don't have to hide what you do.
