I'm still waiting on propagation. I used wix templates and by god they are amazing. All I need now is to pay some girls on fiver to make some sexy video testimonials, and have someone make a company logo.

i don't think anyone in my area has a decent website for the small business salons, and they don't know much about SEO either.

my question, how do I get it to page one? I was at position 6 before on google just by putting ads on help and other sites. People called my moms store all the time on google, until it died down.

do people on fiver do the SEO stuff or back links, and do they still work?

and how do I keep the customers? I have a like button, will a share button do the trick too? Email lists?

I seriously want to increase business to our store which has significantly been reduced. What are some recommendations to increase real life business?

Well unfortunately I can't PM yet, although I'd appreciate any help or strategy for free.

We already have a professional video we can put up on our site voiced by a pro actor on tv, fiver will work. Give me some strategies plz. This is purely local and offline so I'm not competing with you lol.

Whatever you do, do not buy Fiverr gigs expecting to rank #1.

    1. Uninstall Wix and Install WordPress
    2. Install SEO plugins
    3. Install sexy salon theme
    4. Make facebook, twitter & G+ pages for your salon
    5. have a blog for special offers, sexy cuts you did and just shit that people may like
    6. Have a gallery with styles and shit that people may link to
    6. Tell girls that come into the salon that you will give them 50% off if they make a quick video
    7. Put the videos on YT then on your website front page
    8. Update the blog, twitter & FB pages daily with shit about hair
    9. Order a gig off BHW for directory submissions
    10. Find business directories for your area - submit your website
    11. Make sure there is plenty of content on your website about your business, your team and about hair shit in general.
    12. Get out of hairdressing and make real money instead.

Wix has SEO features embedded on every page of my site. What videos would the girl make? Aren't fiverr gigs better? Doesn't fiverr do good job with SEO and back links?

Its a local biz, 10 mile radius. Also it's my moms salon I'm helping pump it up

Fiverr is good for spamming your competitor's sites and that's about it.

You should definitely go for local SEO.. try getting a mobile app also. I think these kind of things are good if you are targetting customers in your area.

The concern with the SEO that Wix supplied is, SEO is an ever-changing discipline and often these networks don't change their onsite SEO algorithms very often. I made a website for a girl that was using vistaprint and she told me that they have a thing that gives you a percentage of keyword density and it only told her it was good when she had the keyword at about 40%.

This may have been good in 1995 but not now.

Also do not get SEO packages off fiverr. Pay the money and get decent ones of BHW.

I dont really like forums. Can we go sky pe or M SN and do live talking? I'll understand better that way. I saw some word press themes, and wix themes s%%t on them hard.

i suggest you try to make some marketing plays with your brick and mortar first and then integrate it with your website.

the first thing you need to know about setting up a website - content first, SEO later.

if you have the content and you can promote it to people, then you'll definitely get traffic and possibly - backlinks. :)

for example, make a promotion offering 10% off (or whatever pleases you). however, for people to avail of the offer, they gotta log in to your website and print a page and take the page with them to your salon as a voucher to get the 10% off.

to hit two birds with one stone, make the page/voucher (that they got to print) such that it looks like a promotional ad for your hair salon. essentially, you'll have people printing posters for your salon that you can use for offline promotion (you can post it on walls, etc..). :)

    cost: 10% discount on services

benefit: site traffic, brand awareness, and free promotional material from your customers.

    not a bad tradeoff. :)

    hope this helps! :)

Ok. thanks for the 10% coupon tip. I was thinking of doing that exactly. Actually, my website is complete. I will indeed attempt to put more bricks to it as time goes by slowly, however, its already mobile and ipad friendly. It looks great imo.

Here's what I think. I want to create some more domains in this format [city name] [hair salons], and basically wordpress it and bombard it with blogs and keywords, making my website and salon number 1 in all of them.

I know its a little blackhatish, but who in the world does this with hair salons? .05 percent of owners? I can get way more traffic into my moms store doing this, than supercuts and fantastic sams ever will.

I'm just gonna take it slow, quite frankly I'm sick of computers, and might outsource this.
