Based on the recommendations of another post (can't find it now), I recently installed Kasperky and Malwarebytes.

Turns out I had 22 trojans that AVG couldn't find.

    Recommend kaspersky.

Good work! I wrote that post in the thread called "Viruses".

It is very easy to customize Kasp. I do want to tell you a couple of details about the program that you will benefit from, because Kaspersky doesn't tell you this.

    1. Go to Scan and click on it.
    2. Go to Run Mode and make sure you set a schedule so it will run scans when you want it too. IT WILL NOT scan for you until you set it.
    3. You can set all 3 Scan options for a time/day/hour, whatever your preference is.
    4. Always note, that Kasp will not Scan if your computer is off, (I know that's obvious but ppl set their programs to run at 1:23 AM when they think they will be sleeping and it of course, is not scanning) Always set your scans to happen when you know your computer will be on and you will be away from it.

It scans very quickly, but at times you can expect browser speeds to slow when the actual scan takes place. This will slow your boot up speed too if your Kasp. is running a full scan on the boot up. If you find this irritating, just stop the scan.

Finally, I just want to add that this program has been on all my machines for years and it has never once let me down. Malware bytes is the only other thing I used as of this year because it was so well recommended and it has never found anything, most likely because the guys at Kasp. Labs work hard to update you for new attacks.

theres a good reason i recommend it, nothing else stacks up as good at the end of the day in defending your computer currently, this may change in the future but not right now

Live with kaspersky. Wouldn't go anywhere without it.
