I got my first client signed up for $600 a month, however I am going to try and rank him for 9 keywords at a time.

    All are very low competition.

Would you say I priced this accordingly?
The site is brand new so it won't be that much of a breeze but I'd like people's opinions on what their strategy is when it comes to pricing.

    Thanks!

It depends less on the competition than on the # of searches.

If they are paying you $600 to rank for 9 keywords that total 1,000 searches per month those had better be some super converting keywords.

SEO is all about ROI. If they're paying you $600/month, the service you provide should make them at least $600/month in new leads/sales once you get ranking well. Nobody cares about being first on google if they don't make any money from it.

think your pricing for low comp KW's is about right

if they are low comp then try the following service and I am pretty sure you would rank page 1 for all

Well price is low, but there is a big but, it is your first SEO customer so i'd say it is a great lead. Congratz !

And moreover, it depends of the competition you can make it worth it, if you spend the proper time to your customer ;)

For a first client, I think you've done VERY well, And unless you've got a great personal track record on a large network of sites, this is the most you could hope for.

View it as a springboard... Getting off the mark is always the most difficult part. Work hard on this client - really work with them and put in the hours. This will help establish case-studies and testimonials. Go above and beyond the call of duty with your first clients; you're trying to establish some reputation at this point.

Concentrate on turning that $600 into $1200 through results.

Then based on your results target two referral customers at $600 per month.

    Well Done!
