Just a word of warning to those of you who buy links, I've encountered a high level of scammers over on WF. I bought a VERY expensive link from a guy there who had sales threads. A couple days later he PMed me saying there was an error getting the link and he needed me to dispute the PayPal and he'd refund me. So I did as he asked and he immediately escalated it and is trying to get away with the money.

So just a word of warning, when dealing there ALWAYS get your link and THEN pay them. Even people who appear trustworthy can burn you. Not everywhere has as good of moderation and vetting as here at BHW.

I feel sorry for you, but the whole incident sounds weird. Did you submit the proof to PP where he had asked you to dispute the transaction?

Why he didn't just refund you without dispute? It is fishy from that moment on.

It seems like he wanted you to dispute so he tells paypal you bought a "service" then he will win the dispute. I m sorry to hear.

That's what I was thinking. It certainly sounds like he had ThopHayt open a dispute that way the scammer could submit proof that the transaction was completed to prevent ThopHayt from opening another dispute in an attempt to get the money back.

I feel sorry for you bro but thanks for the warning anyway. I often hear or see complains about dealings done on WF and now I believe it is true.

WF has turned into a major cesspool after the acquisition. I'm not saying it was ever a gem, but it's gone WAY downhill, who knew that was even possible.

I had a membership there collecting dust for the past 5 years or so, but this way the first time I'd ever done business with ANYONE there. And it will be the last.

WF is crap and I would never dispute a charge when they can refund you without disputing.

Sorry you got scammed, it happens to us all at least 1 time :)
