For the second time now, I rank a site, earn some $ with adsense for about a month. Then get slapped with a -50 penalty. I was a shit load more careful this time. Basically all I did was manual web 2.0's with one link pointing to the money site, then juiced them up by ordering Sb blasts to the Web 2.0's from Fiverr. I also mass submitted articles to directories and pointed them to the web 2.0s. FINALLY, after about 3 months is stuck at #4 on page one for about a month. And the $ started coming in. Now My fucking hubpage is still on page one. But my site is smashed to page 5. I am so fucking sick of google at the point.

My next plan, email submit cpa offer, and I am going stupid crazy with my back-linking to make it rank quickly, no adsense, no google analytics, I dont care if it only last's a month on page one this time. Ill still make some $$ if I rank it on a high search KW.

    FUCK GOOGLE

There was an update yesterday (that messed up a lot of sites) but it was reversed today for some sites, anyway go easy on your backlinks and write more content.

I read about the reversal a litle while ago, of course I am still screwed. Meanwhile my comp disappeared and returned.

If there is an SB blast to a well-known Web2.0 page and the page has ONE link to your money site, how long would it take google to algorithmically detect that (assuming that incoming links can penalize a money site..).

I would suggest linking additionally to some totally unrelated site. So if google has an algo that can detect a 2-level structure, the algo would get confused.

    Cheap insurance.

Makes sense, thanks for the tip. I had been told that as long as I just SB blast to my tier ones I will be fine. Guess not.

Was talking to phluid yesterday and he has a theory that Google has or is going to start passing penalties through web 2's. I have to agree. If they haven't already it is probably not far away.

This also could make sense. But I dunno. I just checked my web 2.0s they are all still there, nothing taken down by the admins of the sites. WTF am I sps to do now, any idea?

Beyond the web2.0 getting panalized (a possibility), also it could be that:

    a) the outgoing links from THAT SPECIFIC web2.0 page are blocked, due to backlink spam to that page
    b) or the money site is penalized, but I think that one is more risky for Goog to do, so I think the outgoing links from the web2.0 page get devalued. My guess.

I was listening to a new video from senukex, and it was saying if there are a lot more links than visitors to a page, then those links are obviously not generated by humans. That could incur a penalty, so I would stretch out the link building even to the web2.0 page.

It may have been a manual check. See who visited you site from India using Chrome within 48 hours before the penalty. Then see who owns the IP.

Every time I've had a site deindexed it's been after that occurred.

Do you have adsence on the hub? Since its ranking good, i would focus on that to get some money in the mean time, lemonade from lemons

lol. I'm not even trolling when I say this... but seriously dude? If you're really going to be angsty enough to hate Google because they're rolling out updates fixing things that you among many, many others (including myself) have been exploiting for years on their search engine... you've simply lost touch with reality. SEO is forever changing, dude. This is not the first, nor is it anywhere near the last update they ever push out. These things should not bother you to the point of being sick at Google for doing the obvious in maintaining their search engine.

Either adapt, or move on to a new line of work.

To be honest.... it just seems like you don't have enough link diversity going to your money site.

@OP - may i know what web 2.0s you used? Because the same ole combo of weebly, webs, jimdo etc. etc. are getting in trouble because everyone builds them. You will need to build links from unhidden sources now. There are some properties which no one cares about because of long registration process etc.

Build links from there. And now i think would be good to go very slow with link building and remove the whole concept of link indexing. It only brings trouble.

    yeah, adapt or die....

if feel for you my brother from another mother...

when i hear stories like this, it makes me sick to my stomach...

so much work and effort/money is put into our sites and when the big "G" strikes these tactics down it really hurts...

I am speaking from experience as I was penalized on Feb 17th, you can recover from penalties, but you have to change your anchor text big time...

think 25% exact match anchor text
    think 25% brand name/naked urls
think 25% keyword + other text
think 25% anchor text like "click here" "visit site"...etc...be creative and think up a few hundred of these...

de-optimize your anchor text and you can recover...i am in 60 days since Feb 17th and i have recovered some of the penalties...not enough to declare victory and give google the middle finger, but i think another couple of months, i will be completely recovered...

You say this like it somehow negates that we're still bending their rules, and it was only a matter of time before they started progressively rolling out updates that aim to prevent just that. Love it or hate it, it is what it is. Complaining about it doesn't really do anything for you.
