Man, I wish I had found this forum earlier.

I am extremely frustrated right now. I am newbie (Kinda) in this business. I feel like everyone takes advantage of it.

I was very surprised when I came to this thread and found ALL the techniques I PAID for here for FREE!

I used to be on DigitalPoint forums and Warrior Forums. I cannot tell you how gullible I was to buy ebooks from Digital Point. It really angers me as I think about it. And it angered me as I saw the "members download". All the books, I bought were there for free and all the books I was thinking about buying were there.

But nothing upset me more than this guy on Warrior Forums. This reminds me of a post that I read on here that said "Warrior Forums is shit". I remembered that and now I agree with it. Basically, this guy posted a WSO who said he would mentor you for 67 dollars. I checked him out like his post count (600 something) and his join date. It was all good. I PMed him and talked to him before buying his mentoring. I paid up.

I talked to him that day. He showed me one technique. I earned 35 dollars in commissions. I was very happy! Finally getting started! The next day, I got an email from the Affiliate Manager informing that he was taking away my commissions. I asked for help. Eric told me to make a landing page. I asked a question. I waited for a few minutes to reply. He did not. I waited some more. Finally, I got off my computer and did other things. I came back a couple hours later to find that he did not reply.

I IMed him back. He was there. Hm...if he was there, why didn't he reply to my messages? Anyways, I shrugged it off and asked for him for help. He told me about how he was not feeling well. I wished him well. That was around 5 or 6 days ago. Now, he is never online. I sent him a PM and he did not reply. I posted on this WSO and he did not reply. I checked his profile and sure enough, he logged today. So I know he got my PM. I also see he has been posting on Warrior forum.

This is not fair. I did not do anything aside from asking for help and paid him 67 dollars for it. I only talked to him for 2 days. I have not earned anything from his technique and am not satisfied. I waited enough time. I also PMed and posted in this thread. He did not reply but yet IS CURRENTLY POSTING ON WARRIOR FORUMS!

I feel so ripped off. Thank goodness I took the advice of my friend who told me to pay by Credit Card. I never filed a chargeback before and am nervous about it. Should I do it? Should I wait some more?

    Help please!

yeah. i think you should chargeback. i don't know if you'll get your money back, but at least you'll get the experience.

when you are first starting out, i encourage you to be very frugal with your money. you have a lot more time than money so spend the time to research, research, research.

    good luck.

I'd do the chargeback but I don't know if you will necessarily get it. This business is cut-throat! I have been burned more than a couple of times and have made what I "thought" were friends here, only to find out I was wrong. So...I guess we have to accept that we "live and learn." But honestly, there never is a way to guarantee you won't be ripped off...even by the people you think will help you. I don't know what the answer is...cuz I've experienced it too...but I feel for ya!

There are some good folks at DP and WF but unfortunately there are shitloads of folks who go into "mentoring" to make an easy buck but they dont' know what the hell they're doing....or they get students involved with doing something quasi blackhat or illegal without the person even knowing it.

The best advice I can give you is to keep learning SKILLS not METHODS. By that I mean the basics - learning how to set up a simple website or blog; learning how too build traffic; keyword, product, and niche research; gradually building out sites in different niches; thinking about writing your own short reports and ebooks and learning how to set up payment and downloads for them ( I recommend e-junkie for automating your download/delivery process) .....and then get out there and build some sites!

Everything else is pretty much available freely as info - here and elsewhere. And by all means avoid anything high priced like those crappy Google Domination Frank Kern Let Me Charge You Another $3000 to Become My Bitch programs out there. The big guruburus only release a "System" after it isn't so effective anymore - they try to milk that last few dollars out of selling it to others. Otherwise, why would they be sharing it with anyone? OUt of the kindness of their hearts? :) I don't think so!

Anyway, don't give up. We all have a learning curve in this business but the more skills you can acquire and the more you just start trying things with different sites, the more you'll start seeing those commissions come in. And after that, man, it's better than sex. (don't tell my girlfriend :) You get totally addicted to being able to basically press a few buttons and make money appear. This is a truly amazing time to be alive because we have these incredible tools to free us from the office cubicle and give us freedom and wealth in ways that simply weren't possible before.

So anyway, rock on - and try not to let the scammers and idiots get you down. It's a competitive business and not everyone who claims to be a teacher or helper is truly going to help you. To a certain extent you'l have to learn to be a self starter.

    Dan

Here's the great thing about BHW...you can easily be capable of making back that $100 you lost on DP. Shrug it off (and/or file a chargeback) and get working. :)

Do the chargeback. Search this forum, read, learn and ask questions. Choose a method and start making money. For a while put your credit card on a safe place.

Thank you all for your help.

I wrote in this guys new thread selling things. I am going to warn everyone.

Thanks for the help. I am filing a chargeback.

This is so awesome. I feel like I finally found a home in this forum. Like things in DP forums did not feel right and now I am weary of Warrior Forums.

    Any other advice?

    I thank you all.

I am just pissed of at people like this. He told me that he was having heart problems. Whatever...

There are scammers everywhere, including here. You need to cover your six at all times. I'm not saying don't trust anyone, but don't be gullible. It really is a cut-throat business.

    Sinewave,

    Sent you PM.

    Leonidt,
I understand. But I checked his background and everything. He seemed to have a good rep. It was not like he posted 10 posts and I bought it from him. This is why I am so surprised. Everyone was posting really good reviews and it was like "You cannot go wrong".

I am going to do what indexyoursite said. Put away that CC until you earn money.

I just hit a bump in this journey. Sighhhh

I'm not saying it was your fault. I was just trying to tell you, don't think there aren't scammers here. Sorry if it came off wrong.

Edit: And yeah, put your money away. I started IMing with NO investment, now I make a full-time income. Only invest the money you make, that way, you're never in the hole. At least that's my theory.

No, it did not come off wrong. I was just saying. Sigh..I am confused if you know what I mean.

I dont know where to start and what to do and now it is like people are trying to take advantage.

I cannot even reach my goal of 50 a day. SO sad. I downloaded some ebooks from the members section and all of them seem like methods I have tried before.

    ssamra,

We've all been there. The sooner you learn there's no magic button, the better. IndexYourSite is right: put away that credit card.

Now you've learned that one and now you're all set to learn the real stuff.

Yes, I am ready to learn.

I found some ebooks in the members download section that gave me some ideas.
I still cannot believe I filed a chargeback. I have never done so and for some reason it upsets me that I even had the need for this, you know?

Ok, I just went back to the thread where I bought the services. I wrote about what I had to go through with him. I went back to this guys thread to see if he had responded.

He hasn't but two other people have. One person is asking about his health conditions.

The other guy is getting all twisted up in his panties about what I said. You know, judging by his response he did not even read my freakin' post. He is ranting about how the 'mentor' may have some health issues and that I am being too impatient and blowing things up.

I think anybody who read my post would understand that I SAW him STILL selling things and replying to PMs but never to mine.

I wrote back pointing these things out.

What would be a good way to handle this? Thanks.

I would just take in on the nose and move on....

Why dont you see if any of his shits on here for free, then use it to make some money back... I think it would be quite ironic and rather funny :)

Luckily I was broke when I found DP or I would have been in the same boat as you. Just take this as a learning experience and move on...

That's how most people in this game get started. It's definitely how I got into this. You absolutely would not believe the first ebook I bought...what a joke. It's just part of the learning process; basically, you got schooled;) You will eventually learn that even if the ebook/whatever's for sale is good and quality, you have to buy with 100% certainty you will actually use it.

The best way to go about it is to pretend (or not!) that that $67 is absolutely all you have to make money with, and you HAVE to make money with whatever you invest that $67 in. If you don't make money with that $67, it'll delay all your plans, along with overdrawing your bank account and causing a lot of stress.
    It's working for me.

The main piece of advice i can say is "What comes around goes around" You have experianced something all of us have gone through also. Like hwolfpack6 said shrug it off do a charge back and get to work. Sometimes these lessons are worth there weight in gold.

Good Luck in all your ventures!
