So, can videos get lots of views without SEO?

EDIT: Have to have at least 15 posts to put links..

EDIT2: I finally made 15 posts, so I finally got to put all the links

Hello I'm perrolococz from Mexico, I have been analyzing different "TOP" channels and I have found some examples were I'm just left in awe, I cannot understand how some videos got so many views.

Now, I'm no expert but I have read/seen various videos about SEO, so hopefully someone can help me understand how these videos got viral.

I will give you two examples:

    CASE NUMBER 1: Daimon Tops

If you put in youtube "Autos en Duabai" (Spanish for "Cars in Dubai") the first result is from a youtube channel called "Daimon Tops", the same channel gets the third result and also the 10th result!!

    Here's the channel in question:

As you can see it has a (relatively) low subscribers count, and most of its videos get like 5,000 views at most, but then the videos about Dubai have gotten like 400,000 views!!

I checked his videos and none of them have any SEO in them, its channel SEO is just the words "erick" and "tops", so how come his videos get so many views when it comes to videos about "Dubai"?

If you look at that channel you can see only his videos about Dubai get lots of views, every other video is not as visited, heck he even uploaded a Dubai video around a week ago and already has 400,000 views..

So how did this channel get to be ranked #1 in the search for "Dubai" (At least in spanish) without any SEO? Was it because he probably was the first video of its kind?

    CASE NUMBER 2: Sabias que?

This next one really just left me clueless, the username is named "Sabias que?" ("Did you know?" in spanish) and its videos are a mix of interesting facts and some tops, it currently has around 50,000 subs but I would say most of this channel's videos don't get to 10,000 views, in fact a lot of its videos get less than 1,000 views.

Anyway there are some videos that picked my interest in particular, the 2nd and 3rd video uploaded to the channel.

    Here they are:
    "The World Richest man"

"El hombre más rico del mundo" ("The world richest man" in spanish)

They are pretty much the same video.. A poorly edited video that uses loquendo instead of real voice, they were both posted the same day, and both of them have zero tags in them..

But as you can see one has more than 6'000,000 views (the one in spanish) while the other didn't even reach 1,000 views..

To a lesser extent I'm also surprised by this video from this same user:

19 cosas que no sabias de Donald Trump (presidente de estados unidos)
"19 things you didn't know about Donald Trump (president of the United States)

Almost 1'300,000 views and the hilarious tags "videos" "impresionantes" or "impressive" "videos" in english, which has NOTHING to do with Donald Trump..

I mean he/she posted the video on November 10th 2016 which IIRC was election day (?) so Donald Trump must have been a trending topic but still, it must have competed with A LOT of other bigger, more important youtubers, youtubers which must have used tags, SEO, had more subs, etc, etc..

    How did this happen?

As I said at the beginning of this post I'm no SEO expert, actualy I'm very new to all this, so I have to ask is there anything else I might be missing, I mean I know SEO isn't everything, but it sure helps, so how could this videos have gotten some popular, do you think?

    Thanks in advance :)

Yes it is possible sometimes due to tags your videos comeup with good ranked videos and that brings in lots of traffic or it could be possible that he got embeds from big websites or his video got tweeted or shared by a authority account.
    Anything is possible.

Very Noob question.. So tags and SEO aren't exactly the same, I'm guessing? Because in the cases I provided the videos have zero tags in them...

As for being embed on big websites or shared by an authority account.. So what you are trying to say is that maybe one of its subscribers shared the video on twitter or something and it got viral from there?

Is there a tool to see how a youtube video was shared and by whom? I remember VidIq used to show the websites a youtube video was shared on, but it doesn't anymore (At least to me..)

    Thanks for answering :)

    how about description and title?
Due tags help but sometimes new video can get lucky and suggested through those 2 alone.
After getting people clicking, it naturally ranks
