I am not seeming to increase SERP. I've made link pyramids & 40%+ uniqueness web 2.0 link wheels 3-4 days ago and my site is still on the rank 300-400 spot.... any recommendations what to do about this stupid penguin update?

Wow, 3 days passed and you're still not #1? That fucking penguin..

Links can take months to make their effect, Google is processing millions of keywords, do you think they have the power to update each one daily?

Also, link pyramids are old news, but they still have some effect. Diversity is king now, so why don't you add some wikis and maybe even some High PR comments?

Yeah I know it takes about a few weeks to get everything indexed completely but I was looking for some advice meanwhile the time so I have more guranteed chance of hitting the #1 spot. And I heard high PR comments are useless if they're not in common with your niche?

what I found most useful in linkbuilding is not following any advice on what's working and what's not, just make any kind of backlinks (not scrapebox and xrumer) but just be random that is the best way to make your website update proof.

    In short just be Mad

Lol, somehow true... The update is so unpredictable that I've just focused on content and forget SEO for now.

i build variety of backlinks including blog comments and forum profiles.. Though everyone says to avoid these, I think it's ok to have some quality blog comments and profile links..
It just gives you the diversity..IMO..

By themselves they do not work, but they are a good thing to add to your mix, unless they are spammed to death pages (avoid that at all costs).

Focus on wikis, Pyramids are still good, also some blog comments are still good.

I'd suggest to wait for the Fox and Dolphin update. Alternatively you could start checking for competitors and mimic their link building. One advice I will give you is to drip your backlinks without raising the red flag. I see sites ranking with fewer backlinks.
