My dad works at the Ministry of Defence of my country (not US) and I recently found out that he is the one managing their website.

The website has a TF of 60, around 9,000 RDs and it's a .gov tld.

I am thinking of sneaking a do follow link on the homepage but I have no idea how to do that to avoid getting caught. Any ideas?

Not worth risking his job for.

Your link, even if it was visually hidden, would be viewable in the page source code.

The thing is since my country is poor they don't really care that much. The website is just a formality. My dads been working there for 35 years. They don't care that much which is why they put my dad to run their website, he is the only one there that knows basic HTML :D

It's still a huge huge risk, we're talking about his job after all. I would certainly run it by him first lol.

I think you would get more long term value out of soaking up all the fantastic SEO/PBN related material here and applying it, or visiting the marketplace and seeing what's on offer.

Then the responsibility of your success rests on your shoulders :) and not your fathers job.

In which country do you live?

And that is actually one of the worst ideas I've ever heard of.

Even if you hide the link for the reader you'll sooner or later face problems with Google because of the hidden link.

This is not a good idea. Your dad will be in serious trouble if someone notice your "hidden" link.

If you want to get a link on the website, do it in a legit way. Put an actually-relevant and good article on one of your sites. Something that would actually be helpful to users using the site. Make a scholarship opportunity that is only open to children/family of Ministry of Defence employes or something. You could get that on the homepage without having to, you know, risk your dad's 35+ year long career and also possibly be committing a crime against a bunch of people who control your country's most powerful weapons.

As others have said, injecting a Buy Viagra Online link under an iframe or something is a terrible idea and this would be putting your family at risk.

Now if you're dad's in North Korea, I know some guys in Langley who'll pay for such a link and access :)

Or alternatively, if you're going to do it, go all the way and sell your government's military secrets to the Chinese. I hear there's good money in that.

how can anyone be so selfish enough to not give a damn about their own father's job just for a link?

We have tons of services on here that could possibly get you similar or better results and you couldn't be bothered to look beyond your nose?

One word. Don't do it. It might affect your dad's position and at the end - it will won't be worth it.

Wow, I should have added more info why I don't see this as a big deal.

    Let me elaborate.

    $643.11

This is how much my dad makes in a month, or around $7,717 per year. Our ministry of defense is not like the one in US. It's just an administrative sector, it has no real power. The entire MOD has like 25-50 employees with a joke salary. The MOD has 6 sectors, each sector has an operator (the one who operates with the sector). My dad is one of the operators for one of the sectors and he knows the rest of the operators as they worked with him for 30 something years. The only one above him is the minister her self.

I asked my dad and he said "I can do it without a problem since I have no one to ask permission from, the minister does not care unless it's a million dollar deal". The only problem he said was that after he is gone (he is retiring in about 7 months), they will probably remove everything which is why I asked how to hide it.

No he is not getting fired and if it wasn't for my IM projects that I've done, we would still be poor with his joke salary.

Now you're putting your father down. The man who has raised you for your whole life over a link?
